ارتفعت حصيلة ضحايا انفجار منجم الفحم شمالي الصين إلى 90 وفاة، بحسب ما أعلنته قناة «سي سي تي في» الرسمية.
وكانت وكالة الأنباء الصينية «شينخوا» قد أفادت بأن 247 عاملاً كانوا داخل منجم «ليوشينيو» لحظة وقوع الانفجار مساء الجمعة بالتوقيت المحلي.
وذكرت الوكالة أن العمال المحاصرين تحت الأرض يواجهون أوضاعاً حرجة، في ظل تسجيل مستويات مرتفعة وخطيرة من غاز أول أكسيد الكربون داخل المنجم، وهو غاز سام عديم الرائحة.
ويقع المنجم في مقاطعة شانشي، على بُعد نحو 500 كيلومتر جنوب غرب العاصمة بكين، فيما يعمل أكثر من 1.5 مليون شخص في قطاع مناجم الفحم بالصين.
The death toll from the coal mine explosion in northern China has risen to 90, according to the official CCTV channel.
The Chinese news agency Xinhua reported that 247 workers were inside the Liushiniu mine at the time of the explosion on Friday evening local time.
The agency mentioned that the trapped workers underground are facing critical conditions, as high and dangerous levels of carbon monoxide, a colorless and toxic gas, have been recorded inside the mine.
The mine is located in Shanxi Province, about 500 kilometers southwest of the capital Beijing, while more than 1.5 million people work in the coal mining sector in China.
