شارك ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان، في اتصال جماعي جرى أمس (السبت) مع الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب، وبمشاركة عدد من قادة دول الخليج والمنطقة.
وضم الاتصال كلاً من ملك البحرين الملك حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة، وأمير دولة قطر الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني، ورئيس دولة الإمارات الشيخ محمد بن زايد آل نهيان، وملك الأردن عبدالله الثاني ابن الحسين، والرئيس المصري عبدالفتاح السيسي، والرئيس التركي رجب طيب أردوغان، إضافة إلى قائد قوات الدفاع ورئيس أركان الجيش الباكستاني المشير عاصم منير.
وشهد الاتصال بحث مستجدات الأوضاع الإقليمية الراهنة، إلى جانب الإشادة بحرص الرئيس ترمب على التشاور والتنسيق مع قادة المنطقة، والتأكيد على أهمية الجهود الدبلوماسية المبذولة لاحتواء التصعيد وتعزيز أمن المنطقة واستقرارها.
كما جرى التنويه بجهود الوساطة التي تقودها باكستان، والدور الذي تقوم به دولة قطر لدعم مساعي التوصل إلى اتفاق يسهم في تهدئة الأوضاع بالمنطقة.
Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman participated in a conference call yesterday (Saturday) with U.S. President Donald Trump, along with several leaders from the Gulf and the region.
The call included King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar, President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE, King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan of Turkey, in addition to the Chief of Defense and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of Pakistan, General Asim Munir.
The call addressed the current developments in the regional situation, along with praising President Trump’s commitment to consult and coordinate with the region’s leaders, and emphasizing the importance of diplomatic efforts to contain escalation and enhance the region’s security and stability.
There was also mention of the mediation efforts led by Pakistan, and the role that Qatar is playing to support efforts to reach an agreement that contributes to calming the situation in the region.
