أسند الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «فيفا» مهمة إدارة المباراة الافتتاحية لبطولة كأس العالم 2026، المقررة الخميس القادم بين المكسيك وجنوب أفريقيا، إلى الحكم البرازيلي ويلتون سامبايو.
وتستضيف الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكندا والمكسيك منافسات كأس العالم 2026 خلال الفترة من 11 يونيو إلى 19 يوليو، بمشاركة 48 منتخباً لأول مرة في تاريخ البطولة.
الطاقم التحكيمي المساعد
وسيكون مواطناه برونو بيريز وبرونو بوشيليا مساعدين له في المباراة الافتتاحية للمجموعة الأولى، التي تقام على استاد «أزتيكا».
خبرة سابقة في المونديال
وسبق أن أدار سامبايو مباريات في النسخة الماضية التي أقيمت في قطر 2022، كما كان ضمن طاقم حكام تقنية الفيديو عند إدخالها لأول مرة في كأس العالم 2018 في روسيا.
رقم قياسي في عدد الحكام
ومع زيادة عدد مباريات كأس العالم إلى مستوى غير مسبوق نتيجة إضافة 16 منتخباً، استعان الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «فيفا» بنحو 170 حكماً ومساعد حكم وحكم فيديو، لإدارة 104 مباريات في البطولة.
The International Football Federation “FIFA” has assigned the task of officiating the opening match of the 2026 World Cup, scheduled for next Thursday between Mexico and South Africa, to Brazilian referee Wilton Sampaio.
