مهما كتبنا وتحدثنا وانتقدنا، وطالبنا بأهمية أن يكون للاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم موقفٌ واضح من بعض الأحداث والقضايا التي بدأت تستحوذ على اهتمام إعلامي واسع وتثير جدلًا جماهيريًا، وهي قضايا ذات أبعاد قانونية، وتتعلق بشكاوى واتهامات تمس سمعة العاملين في منظومة كرة القدم، فإن الحاجة تظل قائمة إلى تفاعلٍ سريع يصدر عنه توضيحٌ حاسم يضع حدًا لأي زوبعة إعلامية أو اجتهادات صحفية أو تأويلات وتفسيرات غير دقيقة، تُدرج تحت بند الشائعات التي لا تمت للحقيقة بصلة.
-إلا أن القائمين على هذا الاتحاد يتجاهلون، عمدًا أو تقصيرًا، هذه المطالب المتكررة، بما يسمح باستمرار حالة من «الضبابية» التي تؤدي إلى تصاعد الضجيج الإعلامي، وتأجيج المواقف، وما قد ينجم عن هذا الصمت من تداعيات يصعب احتواؤها أو معالجتها لاحقًا.
-ومن المؤسف والمثير للاستغراب أن الاتحاد يضم كوادر إعلامية ذات كفاءة وخبرة عالية، تم تعيينها ضمن إدارة الإعلام والاتصال بهدف القيام بدور توعوي وتثقيفي، والتصدي لأي معلومات مغلوطة أو ادعاءات تفتح أبوابًا واسعة للتأويلات والآراء النقدية الحادة. ومع ذلك، فإن أداء هذه الإدارة يبدو-في أحيان كثيرة- مقيدًا أو معطلًا في هذا الجانب، ولا يمكن تحميل مسؤولية هذا التعطيل للزميل سلطان المهوس أو لفريق العمل معه، لكون صلاحياتهم بحسب الظاهر محددة ومقيدة بتوجيهات عليا تفرض عليهم الالتزام بها.
-ومن هنا، يأتي تساؤل مشروع موجه إلى رئيس الاتحاد ياسر المسحل وأعضاء مجلس الإدارة: ما جدوى وجود إدارة متخصصة إذا لم تُمنح الصلاحيات الكافية التي تمكّنها من أداء دورها، ولا سيما في التفاعل السريع مع الأحداث؟ ولعل ما أُثير مؤخرًا عقب مباراة الفيحاء والأهلي يُعد مثالًا واضحًا، إذ جاء البيان الصادر عن الاتحاد متأخرًا، رغم صياغته الجيدة ومضمونه الواضح. ولو صدر في حينه، لكان كفيلًا باحتواء الموقف ومنع تحوله إلى ما يشبه قضية رأي عام.
-وقد لوحظ، عقب صدور البيان، حالة من الارتياح والإشادة من قبل الإعلام والجماهير، لما تضمنه من توضيح مختصر واهتمام ملحوظ. ومع ذلك، فقد تمنى كثيرون لو صدر هذا البيان في وقتٍ مبكر، في رسالةٍ ضمنية تختصر المشهد بعبارة واحدة: «اتحاد الكرة… صح النوم».
-وعليه، فإن من الضروري أن يعيد الاتحاد النظر في هذه السياسة الخاطئة، وأن يتبنى نهج الشفافية والتواصل الفعّال، قبل أن تتفاقم الأحداث ويشتعل فتيلها وتتصاعد تبعاتها. إننا نأمل بل نرجو تحقيق ذلك في القريب العاجل.

No matter how much we write, talk, and criticize, and demand the importance of the Saudi Football Federation having a clear stance on certain events and issues that have begun to attract widespread media attention and stir public controversy—issues that have legal dimensions and relate to complaints and accusations affecting the reputation of those working in the football system—the need remains for a swift response that issues a decisive clarification to put an end to any media uproar or journalistic interpretations and inaccurate explanations that fall under the category of rumors that have no connection to the truth.
-However, those in charge of this federation deliberately or negligently ignore these repeated demands, allowing a state of “ambiguity” to persist, which leads to an escalation of media noise and heightened positions, and the potential consequences of this silence are difficult to contain or address later.
-It is regrettable and surprising that the federation includes media personnel with high competence and experience, who were appointed within the media and communication department to play an educational and awareness role, and to confront any misleading information or claims that open wide doors for interpretations and sharp critical opinions. Nevertheless, the performance of this department often seems constrained or paralyzed in this regard, and the responsibility for this paralysis cannot be placed on colleague Sultan Al-Mahous or his team, as their powers appear to be limited and constrained by higher directives that impose adherence to them.
-From here, a legitimate question arises directed to the federation president Yasser Al-Mashel and the board members: What is the point of having a specialized department if it is not granted sufficient powers that enable it to perform its role, especially in quickly interacting with events? Perhaps what was raised recently following the Al-Fayha and Al-Ahli match serves as a clear example, as the statement issued by the federation came late, despite its good formulation and clear content. Had it been issued in a timely manner, it would have been sufficient to contain the situation and prevent it from turning into a public opinion issue.
-It was noted, following the issuance of the statement, a sense of relief and praise from the media and the public for its concise clarification and noticeable attention. However, many wished that this statement had been issued earlier, in an implicit message that summarizes the scene in one phrase: “Football Federation… time to wake up.”
-Therefore, it is essential for the federation to reconsider this misguided policy and to adopt a path of transparency and effective communication before events escalate and their repercussions intensify. We hope and wish for this to be achieved in the near future.
