تراجع الرئيس الإيراني مسعود بزشكيان عن اعتذاره لدول الخليج عن الهجمات على أراضيها، بعد رد فعل غاضب من الحرس الثوري.
وعندما كرر الرئيس الإيراني في وقت لاحق تصريحه السابق على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، حذف الاعتذار الذي أثار غضب الحرس الثوري وغيره من المتشددين، في تراجع محرج.
وقال بزشكيان في تصريحات، اليوم (الأحد)، إن بلاده «سترد بقوة على الهجمات الأمريكية والإسرائيلية، ولن تستسلم».
وأضاف: «تجمعنا أخوة مع جيراننا، لكن إذا تعرضنا لهجوم من أية دولة سنرد على الاعتداء»، وفق ما نقل عنه التلفزيون الرسمي الإيراني.
واعتبر أن «العدو يسعى إلى خلق الاختلاف بين إيران والدول الأخرى»، لافتاً إلى أن «الشعب الإيراني وقواته المسلحة حاضرون في كل مكان في البلاد، ولن يرضخوا أو يستسلموا لأي شكل من أشكال البلطجة أو العدوان أو الظلم»، وفق تعبيره. ورأى أن أمريكا حرفت اعتذاره أمس (السبت)، إلى «استسلام في محاولة لزرع الفتنة»، حسب تعبيره.
وكان بزشكيان قد تعرض أمس لانتقادات لاذعة من قبل الحرس الثوري وغلاة المحافظين المتشددين، في علامة على الانقسام الداخلي. وخاطب حميد رسائي، وهو مشرّع ورجل دين من غلاة المحافظين، الرئيس على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، قائلاً: «موقفك غير احترافي وضعيف وغير مقبول»، بحسب ما نقلت وكالة «رويترز».
فيما أكد رئيس السلطة القضائية عضو مجلس القيادة الانتقالي غلام حسين إيجئي، أن طهران ستواصل مهاجمة ما زعم أنها «نقاط العدوان» في دول الجوار، متهّماً بعضها بوضع مقدّراتها في تصرّف من سماه «العدو».
وكشف مقرب من مكتب المرشد الإيراني الراحل علي خامنئي، أن تعليقات بزشكيان أغضبت كثيراً من كبار القادة في الحرس الثوري.
وأعلن الحرس الثوري أنه قادر على مواصلة «ستة أشهر على الأقل من حرب ضارية» ضد الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل، زاعماً أنه ضرب حتى الآن أكثر من 200 هدف أمريكي وإسرائيلي في المنطقة، وفق ما نقلت وكالة «فارس».
من جانبه، أكد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أن بلاده حققت انتصارات سريعة في إيران، وبمستويات لم يسبق لها مثيل. وأوضح في مقابلة مع شبكة «سي بي إس» اليوم، أن القوات الأمريكية «قامت بعمل مذهل ودمرت الصواريخ والمسيّرات وأغرقت البحرية الإيرانية، دون أن تبقي شيئاً».
وتوعد بأن تستمر الضربات على مختلف المواقع في إيران.
Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian retracted his apology to the Gulf states for the attacks on their territories, following an angry reaction from the Revolutionary Guard.
When the Iranian president later reiterated his previous statement on social media, he deleted the apology that had angered the Revolutionary Guard and other hardliners, in an embarrassing retreat.
Bezhakian stated in remarks today (Sunday) that his country “will respond strongly to American and Israeli attacks and will not surrender.”
He added: “We share brotherhood with our neighbors, but if we are attacked by any country, we will respond to the aggression,” according to what was reported by Iranian state television.
He considered that “the enemy seeks to create differences between Iran and other countries,” noting that “the Iranian people and their armed forces are present everywhere in the country and will not yield or surrender to any form of bullying, aggression, or injustice,” as he expressed. He believed that America distorted his apology yesterday (Saturday) into “surrender in an attempt to sow discord,” as he put it.
Bezhakian faced sharp criticism yesterday from the Revolutionary Guard and hardline conservatives, marking a sign of internal division. Hamid Rasai, a legislator and cleric from the hardline conservatives, addressed the president on social media, saying: “Your position is unprofessional, weak, and unacceptable,” according to what was reported by Reuters.
The head of the judiciary and member of the transitional leadership council, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, confirmed that Tehran will continue to attack what it claims are “points of aggression” in neighboring countries, accusing some of them of placing their resources at the disposal of what he called “the enemy.”
A close associate of the late Iranian leader Ali Khamenei revealed that Bezhakian’s comments angered many senior leaders in the Revolutionary Guard.
The Revolutionary Guard announced that it is capable of continuing “at least six months of fierce war” against the United States and Israel, claiming that it has struck more than 200 American and Israeli targets in the region so far, according to what was reported by Fars news agency.
For his part, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that his country has achieved rapid victories in Iran, at levels unprecedented before. He explained in an interview with CBS today that U.S. forces “did an amazing job and destroyed missiles and drones and sank the Iranian navy, leaving nothing behind.”
He vowed that strikes on various sites in Iran would continue.
