لا زلت مصرّاً على أن القائد الفطن يستطيع إخراج بلاده من أي تأزم بالحنكة والتصرف المثالي مهما كبر أو صغر ذلك التأزم.
والنظام الإيراني منذ إعلان تصدير الثورة عام (١٩٧٩) ظل ممسكاً بطريق طويل نهايته جملة (الطريق مغلق)، وها هو اليوم يمارس غباءً سياسياً مدمراً، فبالرغم من استهداف جل قياداته لازال البقية من طابور (نظام الولي الفقيه) يسيرون سير العميان من غير تنبه على فقدان النظام كل مقدراته بما فيهم القيادات، حتى أن الرئيس ترمب يرى أن ليس هناك قيادي واحد يمكن التفاوض معه.
ولتأكيد سوء التدبير للقيادة الإيرانية (بدءاً من علي خامئني) لم يتحرك النظام لاسترضاء جيرانه جغرافياً بعدما تأكد من هجوم أمريكا وإسرائيل على بلاده حتى عندما تم إعلان رغبة أمريكا إسقاط النظام وإحلال نظام مغاير، كان بالإمكان للنظام الإيراني المحافظة على جيرانه وعدم التعدي على بلادهم خاصة وأن دول الخليج مجتمعة أعلنت الحياد وعدم استغلال أراضيها للهجوم على إيران، كان بإمكان النظام الإيراني استغلال الحياد وكسب ود جيرانه، ولأن النظام أرعن (برغم السنوات الطويلة في الحكم) جازف بكسب عداوات كل الجيران ومد عنقه القصير وفكره الفقير على توسيع العداوات حتى وصل متأخراً إلى تركيا، فاكتسب عداء أكثر .
ويحمد لدول الخليج ممارسة ضبط النفس، لأن القيادة الخليجية (وعلى رأسها المملكة) تعرف تماماً كارثة ما سوف يحدث، فلو سقطت إيران بكل إمكانياتها سوف تخلّف فوضى عنيفة داخل البلد، وبمعرفتهم ذلك، كانت الخشية أن تنهار إيران تماماً مخلفة دماراً شاملاً، وفوضى لن تمكّن المنطقة مجتمعة من الاستقرار لعشرات السنوات.
وإن كانت حجة النظام الإيراني الأرعن ضرب مصالح أمريكا في المنطقة، وهذا تفكير يدلل على نقص المهارة السياسية، لأن لكل دولة مصالح متعددة مع بقية الدول العالم، وضرب أي مصلحة للدولة المتحاربة في أرض ليست أرضها يعني مباشرة إعلان الحرب على الدولة المعتدى عليها، ومع ذلك (وإلى الآن) لازالت تلك الدول تمارس ضبط النفس.
نعود إلى أهمية وجود القائد الفطن، فإذا سقط عشرات القادة الإيرانيين، هل نتوقع ظهور قائد محنك فيمن تبقى ممن يقودون معركة خاسرة حتماً، الجميع ينتظر ما الذي تخلّفه الحرب من كوارث قادمة.
I still insist that a wise leader can extract his country from any crisis with skill and ideal behavior, no matter how big or small that crisis may be.
The Iranian regime, since the announcement of exporting the revolution in 1979, has been holding onto a long path that ends with the phrase (the road is closed). Today, it is practicing destructive political foolishness; despite the targeting of most of its leaders, the remaining members of the (Guardian Jurist System) continue to walk blindly, unaware that the regime has lost all its capabilities, including its leadership. Even President Trump believes that there is not a single leader with whom to negotiate.
To confirm the mismanagement of the Iranian leadership (starting with Ali Khamenei), the regime did not move to appease its geographical neighbors after it became certain of the American and Israeli attacks on its country. Even when the U.S. expressed its desire to overthrow the regime and replace it with a different one, the Iranian regime could have maintained good relations with its neighbors and refrained from encroaching on their lands, especially since the Gulf countries collectively announced neutrality and did not allow their territories to be used for attacks on Iran. The Iranian regime could have taken advantage of this neutrality to win the goodwill of its neighbors. However, due to its recklessness (despite the long years in power), it risked earning the enmity of all its neighbors and extended its short neck and poor thinking to expand hostilities, even reaching Turkey late, thus gaining even more animosity.
The Gulf countries deserve praise for exercising restraint, as the Gulf leadership (led by the Kingdom) fully understands the disaster that will ensue. If Iran were to fall with all its capabilities, it would leave behind violent chaos within the country. Knowing this, there was a fear that Iran would completely collapse, leaving widespread destruction and chaos that would prevent the region from stabilizing for decades.
Even if the foolish Iranian regime’s excuse is to strike American interests in the region, this thinking reflects a lack of political skill, as every country has multiple interests with the rest of the world. Striking any interest of a warring state on land that is not its own directly means declaring war on the attacked state. Nevertheless, (up until now) those countries continue to exercise restraint.
We return to the importance of having a wise leader. If dozens of Iranian leaders fall, can we expect a seasoned leader to emerge among those who remain to lead a battle that is certainly lost? Everyone is waiting to see what disasters the war will leave behind.
