أكد عضو مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني الشيخ عثمان مجلي، أنَّ الحراك الشعبي الذي تشهده بعض المحافظات اليمنية هو تعبير حقيقي وصادق عن مشاعر اليمنيين الأصلاء الذين يعتبرون أنفسهم جزءاً لا يتجزأ من محيطهم العربي؛ وبالخصوص السعودية ودول الخليج. وقال في حوار أجرته معه «عكاظ»: إن هذه المواقف الشعبية الصادقة تأكيد على رفض اليمنيين للمشروع الإيراني وللجماعة الحوثية، والتعبير عن الامتنان الصادق تجاه السعودية قيادةً وشعباً وجميع دول الخليج التي ساندت اليمنيين في مواجهة التغول الإيراني والحوثي، مشيراً إلى أن هذه المواقف تعيد التذكير بأن اليمن لن يكون إلا في صف أشقائه وفي خندق الدفاع عن الأمة العربية بعيداً عن المشاريع الطارئة والمتطرفة التي تهدف لتحويل اليمن إلى منطقة نفوذ تابعة لإيران ومشروعها الطائفي الذي يكن الحقد لكل ما هو عربي.

السعودية واليمن.. مصير مشترك
• كيف تنظرون للتطورات الأخيرة التي تشهدها المنطقة والاعتداءات الإيرانية على المملكة ودول الخليج وانعكاسها على الملف اليمني على وجه التحديد؟
•• تؤكد هذه الهجمات التي تستهدف المملكة ودول الخليج على المصير المشترك بين هذه الشعوب، وأن اليمن جزء أساسي من أمن الجزيرة العربية وأنه يجب أن يعود لمحيطه العربي بعيداً عن الارتهان للمشروع الإيراني الذي جاءت نتائجه لتترك آثاراً عميقة على استقرار المنطقة.
اليمن في صف الأشقاء
• ما تعليقكم على المظاهرات والمسيرات التي خرجت في العديد من المدن اليمنية المحررة مثل مأرب وتعز للتنديد بالهجمات الإرهابية؟
•• هذا الحراك الشعبي هو تعبير حقيقي وصادق عن مشاعر اليمنيين الذين يعتبرون أنفسهم جزءاً لا يتجزأ من محيطهم العربي، وبالخصوص المملكة العربية السعودية ودول الخليج، وهذه المواقف الشعبية الصادقة تأكيد على رفض اليمنيين للمشروع الإيراني والجماعة الحوثية والتعبير عن الامتنان الصادق تجاه المملكة العربية السعودية قيادة وشعباً وجميع دول الخليج التي ساندت اليمنيين، وهذه المواقف تعيد التذكير بأن اليمن لن يكون إلا في صف أشقائه وفي خندق الدفاع عن الأمة العربية بعيداً عن المشاريع الطارئة والمتطرفة التي تهدف لتحويل اليمن إلى منطقة يزعزع استقرار المنطقة بأكملها.
استكمال تحرير بقية المناطق
• هل تعتقد أن الفرصة مواتية لاستكمال تحرير اليمن في ظل هذه التطورات؟
•• بكل تأكيد، الحكومة الشرعية والجيش الوطني بجميع فصائله ومكوناته في أتم الجاهزية لاستكمال تحرير بقية المناطق التي مازالت ترزح تحت سيطرة الحوثيين، ووضع الجيش اليوم أفضل مما كان عليه بالأمس، والمعنويات تعانق السماء في ظل تطلع جميع أبناء الشعب اليمني لاستعادة دولتهم، ورغم أن أولوية استعادة الدولة بالطرق السلمية ووفقاً للمرجعيات الثلاث ما زالت هي الخيار الأول، كما أكدت وتؤكد الشرعية في كل مناسبة، إلا أن خيار الحسم العسكري ما زال قائماً، ونحن نقولها بصراحة تامة إننا والمملكة العربية السعودية ودول الخليج اليوم في خندق واحد ضد عدو واحد ولن نكون إلا في مقدمة الصفوف كشعب يمني وحكومة شرعية وجيش وطني.
العمل على تخفيف معاناة اليمنيين
• كيف هو حال اليمن اليوم، وكيف تنظرون للمستقبل الذي ينشده المواطن اليمني؟
•• اليمن بلا شك يعاني جراء الانقلابات السياسية التي عصفت بمؤسساته وأمنه واستقراره، غير أن الشرعية؛ ممثلةً بمجلس القيادة الرئاسي والحكومة اليمنية المعترف بها دولياً، لا تزال تقود معركة استعادة الدولة بدعمٍ أخوي كبير من الأشقاء في المملكة العربية السعودية بقيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، وولي عهده رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان.. هذا الدعم شكّل ركيزة أساسية للحفاظ على مؤسسات الدولة، واستطاعت تجاوز الكثير من التحديات والمُضي قدماً في تخفيف معاناة اليمنيين على الصعيد الاقتصادي؛ من خلال سلسلة من الإجراءات بالتوازي مع العمل الجاد على استعادة الدولة وإنهاء الانقلاب وتوحيد الصفوف لإخراج اليمن إلى بر الأمان. أما بخصوص المستقبل فنحن وجميع أبناء الشعب اليمني نتطلع إلى يمن خالٍ من الصراعات والحروب، وخالٍ من السلاح والمليشيات، يمن يدعم التعليم ويستغل موارده ويدعم قدرات وطاقات أبنائه ويلبي تطلعاتهم في توفير الأمن والأمان والخدمات، وطن يوفر بيئة آمنة للاستثمار يواكب دول الجوار الشقيقة ويكملها وتوفير بيئة مناسبة للاستثمار يواكب ما تمر به المنطقة من تطور وازدهار.
دور المملكة في استقرار اليمن
• كيف تنظرون إلى الجهود التي تبذلها المملكة من أجل تهدئة الأوضاع في اليمن؟
•• دور المملكة في دعم استقرار اليمن دورٌ مشهود وقديم، ليس وليد اليوم، بل ممتد عبر عقود من العلاقات الأخوية والمواقف الثابتة. فالمملكة العربية السعودية كانت ولا تزال تقف إلى جانب الشعب اليمني في مختلف المراحل، وتلعب الدور الأبرز تاريخياً في منع انزلاق اليمن إلى حالات من الصراع والانهيار والحروب الأهلية والسير بالتوازي مع المبادرة الخليجية في عام 2011م، والجهود العديدة التي بذلتها المملكة لاحقاً للتقريب بين الفرقاء اليمنيين وتعزيز التلاحم الداخلي بين مختلف المكونات اليمنية، وما نراه اليوم من جهود كبيرة ومشهودة تقوم بها المملكة تحت قيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين، وولي عهده الأمين، هو استمرار وتواصل لهذا الدور البارز الذي ينظر له جميع اليمنيين بامتنان وتقدير، وهذا الدور يسير بالتوازي على مسارات متعددة في الجانب السياسي من خلال دعم الشرعية اليمنية والمركز القانوني وسيادتها داخلياً وخارجياً والدعم الاقتصادي والتنموي والإنساني كذلك.
الموقف الدولي في دعم الشرعية
• كيف هو تعاطي المجتمع الدولي مع الأزمة اليمنية، وهل ما زالت القضية اليمنية تحظى بالزخم الدولي المطلوب؟
•• على الرغم من دعم المجتمع الدولي للشرعية اليمنية منذ اليوم الأول للانقلاب من خلال المواقف الرسمية أو قرارات مجلس الأمن الدولي وفي مقدمتها القرار 2216، إلا أن المواقف الدولية شهدت، في السنوات الأخيرة، تحولاً ملحوظاً على صعيد الإدراك بحقيقة المليشيات الحوثية وعدم جديتها في الذهاب نحو أي تسوية سياسية، وقد تعزَّز هذا الموقف الدولي في أعقاب التصعيد المتمثل في استهداف ممر الملاحة الدولي وتعطيل حركة التجارة العالمية في البحر الأحمر، في الوقت الذي زاد فيه اعتراف دول العالم لموقف الشرعية الذي ينطلق من مسؤولية سياسية وأخلاقية عالية ورغبة حقيقية لإحلال السلام وفقاً للمرجعيات الثلاث وتحقيق مصالح الشعب اليمني وتخفيف معاناته التي تسبب بها الحوثي، وهذا هو السبب الذي دفع الشرعية لتقديم تنازلات كبيرة في سبيل استعادة الدولة وإنهاء الانقلاب ووضع نهاية لمعاناة الشعب اليمني، وهي التنازلات التي لم تقابلها الجماعة الحوثية إلا بمزيد من التصعيد والتعنت.
لن نتخلى عن مسؤولياتنا الدستورية
• ما رسائلكم التي تودون إيصالها للشعب اليمني، خصوصاً ما يتعلق بمستقبله والحياة الكريمة أسوة بشعوب العالم؟
•• نقول للشعب اليمني إن الشرعية؛ ممثلةً برئيس وأعضاء مجلس القيادة الرئاسي والحكومة وبدعم من الأشقاء في المملكة العربية السعودية، لن يتخلوا عن مسؤولياتهم الدستورية تجاه أبناء الشعب اليمني على كامل تراب اليمن بما في ذلك المحافظات التي ما زالت قابعة تحت سيطرة الحوثيين، وأن الشرعية قد أخذت على عاتقها استعادة الدولة وإنهاء الانقلاب سلماً أو حرباً، كما أعلن رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي الدكتور رشاد العليمي، في أكثر من مناسبة، ونوجه من خلال صحيفتكم الرائدة «عكاظ»، رسالة تقدير وإجلال لليمنيين الصامدين والصابرين في مختلف مناطق اليمن على تحمّلهم لكافة الأعباء والآثار الكارثية التي خلفها انقلاب الحوثيين، ونؤكد لهم أن معاناتهم لم تغبْ يوماً عن ضمائرنا وأننا بفضل الله ثم بجهود كل المخلصين وبدعم الأشقاء في المملكة العربية السعودية سنعمل على إنهاء حدٍّ لهذه المعاناة في طريق العمل على استعادة الدولة على كامل تراب اليمن وتوحيد المؤسسات وإعادة بناء الاقتصاد الوطني وتدوير عجلة التنمية.
• ما مدى الانسجام بين أعضاء مجلس القيادة الرئاسي لما فيه خير اليمن واليمنيين؟
•• هناك انسجام وتناغم تام بين أعضاء مجلس القيادة الرئاسي لما فيه تحقيق التطلعات المشتركة لبناء الدولة وإنهاء الانقلاب وتحقيق التنمية وتخفيف معاناة اليمنيين وحل العديد من التحديات السياسية والاقتصادية المتلاحقة.
• كيف تنظرون للمستقبل؟
•• على الرغم من التحديات الهائلة التي يمر بها اليمن، فإننا نشعر بتفاؤل كبير بأن عام 2026م، سيكون عام الانفراجة الكبرى، وبإذن الله، يكون حوارنا القادم مع صحيفتكم الغراء من قلب العاصمة صنعاء، وقد استعاد اليمن عافيته واستقراره، وعاد إلى موقعه الطبيعي بين أشقائه.
Member of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Sheikh Othman Majli confirmed that the popular movement witnessed in some Yemeni governorates is a true and sincere expression of the feelings of authentic Yemenis who consider themselves an integral part of their Arab surroundings, particularly Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states. In an interview with “Okaz,” he stated that these sincere popular stances reaffirm the Yemenis’ rejection of the Iranian project and the Houthi group, and express genuine gratitude towards Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people, and all the Gulf states that supported Yemenis in facing Iranian and Houthi aggression. He pointed out that these stances remind us that Yemen will only be on the side of its brothers and in the trench defending the Arab nation, away from transient and extremist projects that aim to turn Yemen into a sphere of influence subordinate to Iran and its sectarian project that harbors hatred for everything Arab.

Saudi Arabia and Yemen.. A Shared Destiny
• How do you view the recent developments in the region and the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom and Gulf states, and their implications for the Yemeni file specifically?
•• These attacks targeting the Kingdom and Gulf states confirm the shared destiny among these peoples, and that Yemen is an essential part of the security of the Arabian Peninsula, and it must return to its Arab surroundings, away from being beholden to the Iranian project, the consequences of which have left deep impacts on the stability of the region.
Yemen on the Side of Its Brothers
• What is your comment on the demonstrations and marches that took place in many liberated Yemeni cities like Marib and Taiz to denounce the terrorist attacks?
•• This popular movement is a true and sincere expression of the feelings of Yemenis who consider themselves an integral part of their Arab surroundings, particularly the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states. These sincere popular stances reaffirm the Yemenis’ rejection of the Iranian project and the Houthi group and express genuine gratitude towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its leadership and people, and all the Gulf states that supported Yemenis. These stances remind us that Yemen will only be on the side of its brothers and in the trench defending the Arab nation, away from transient and extremist projects that aim to turn Yemen into a region that destabilizes the entire area.
Completing the Liberation of Remaining Areas
• Do you believe that the opportunity is ripe to complete the liberation of Yemen in light of these developments?
•• Absolutely, the legitimate government and the national army, with all its factions and components, are fully prepared to complete the liberation of the remaining areas still under Houthi control. The army’s situation today is better than it was yesterday, and morale is soaring as all Yemenis aspire to restore their state. Although the priority remains to restore the state through peaceful means and according to the three references, as the legitimacy has confirmed on every occasion, the option of military resolution still exists. We say it clearly that we, along with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, are today in one trench against one enemy, and we will only be at the forefront as a Yemeni people, a legitimate government, and a national army.
Working to Alleviate the Suffering of Yemenis
• What is the state of Yemen today, and how do you view the future that the Yemeni citizen aspires to?
•• Yemen undoubtedly suffers due to the political coups that have shaken its institutions, security, and stability. However, the legitimacy, represented by the Presidential Leadership Council and the internationally recognized Yemeni government, continues to lead the battle to restore the state with significant brotherly support from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. This support has formed a fundamental pillar for maintaining state institutions, enabling it to overcome many challenges and move forward in alleviating the suffering of Yemenis on the economic front through a series of measures alongside serious efforts to restore the state, end the coup, and unify ranks to bring Yemen to safety. As for the future, we and all the Yemeni people aspire to a Yemen free from conflicts and wars, devoid of weapons and militias, a Yemen that supports education, utilizes its resources, enhances the capabilities and energies of its children, and meets their aspirations for security, safety, and services, a homeland that provides a safe environment for investment, keeping pace with neighboring countries and complementing them, and providing a suitable environment for investment that aligns with the development and prosperity the region is experiencing.
The Role of the Kingdom in Stabilizing Yemen
• How do you view the efforts made by the Kingdom to calm the situation in Yemen?
•• The role of the Kingdom in supporting the stability of Yemen is a well-known and longstanding one, not a recent development, but rather extends over decades of brotherly relations and steadfast positions. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has always stood by the Yemeni people at various stages, playing a historically significant role in preventing Yemen from slipping into conflicts, collapse, and civil wars, while simultaneously working alongside the Gulf Initiative in 2011 and the numerous efforts made by the Kingdom later to bring together the Yemeni factions and enhance internal cohesion among various Yemeni components. What we see today in terms of the significant and recognized efforts being made by the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his trustworthy Crown Prince is a continuation of this prominent role that all Yemenis view with gratitude and appreciation. This role operates in parallel across multiple tracks in the political sphere through support for the Yemeni legitimacy and its legal status, both internally and externally, as well as economic, developmental, and humanitarian support.
The International Position in Supporting Legitimacy
• How is the international community responding to the Yemeni crisis, and does the Yemeni issue still enjoy the necessary international momentum?
•• Despite the international community’s support for Yemeni legitimacy since the first day of the coup through official positions or UN Security Council resolutions, notably Resolution 2216, international positions have witnessed a noticeable shift in recent years regarding the recognition of the reality of the Houthi militias and their lack of seriousness in pursuing any political settlement. This international stance has been reinforced following the escalation represented by targeting the international shipping lane and disrupting global trade in the Red Sea, while the recognition of the legitimacy’s position, which is based on high political and moral responsibility and a genuine desire to achieve peace according to the three references and meet the interests of the Yemeni people and alleviate their suffering caused by the Houthis, has increased. This is the reason that has driven the legitimacy to make significant concessions in order to restore the state and end the coup and put an end to the suffering of the Yemeni people, concessions that the Houthi group has only met with further escalation and obstinacy.
We Will Not Abandon Our Constitutional Responsibilities
• What messages would you like to convey to the Yemeni people, especially regarding their future and a dignified life like that of other nations?
•• We tell the Yemeni people that the legitimacy, represented by the President and members of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, with the support of our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will not abandon their constitutional responsibilities towards the Yemeni people across all Yemeni territory, including the governorates still under Houthi control. The legitimacy has taken it upon itself to restore the state and end the coup, whether peacefully or through military means, as the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, has announced on multiple occasions. Through your esteemed newspaper “Okaz,” we send a message of appreciation and respect to the steadfast and patient Yemenis in various regions of Yemen for bearing all the burdens and catastrophic effects left by the Houthi coup. We assure them that their suffering has never been absent from our consciences and that, with God’s grace and the efforts of all the sincere and with the support of our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, we will work to put an end to this suffering on the path to restoring the state across all Yemeni territory, unifying institutions, and rebuilding the national economy and reviving development.
• How harmonious is the relationship among the members of the Presidential Leadership Council for the benefit of Yemen and Yemenis?
•• There is complete harmony and synergy among the members of the Presidential Leadership Council to achieve the shared aspirations of building the state, ending the coup, achieving development, alleviating the suffering of Yemenis, and addressing many of the ongoing political and economic challenges.
• How do you view the future?
•• Despite the enormous challenges facing Yemen, we feel a great sense of optimism that the year 2026 will be the year of great breakthroughs, and God willing, our next dialogue with your esteemed newspaper will be from the heart of the capital, Sana’a, after Yemen has regained its health and stability and returned to its natural position among its brothers.
