وجه رئيس الوزراء العراقي محمد شياع السوداني، اليوم (السبت)، بملاحقة مطلقي المقذوفات على محيط السفارة الأمريكية في العراق، وتقديمهم للعدالة.
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء العراقية «واع» عن المتحدث باسم السوداني، صباح النعمان قوله: «رئيس الوزراء محمد شياع السوداني أصدر أوامره إلى القيادات العسكرية والأمنية كافة، وفي قواطع المسؤولية، بملاحقة مرتكبي العمل الإرهابي بإطلاق المقذوفات باتجاه محيط السفارة الأمريكية في العراق، وتقديمهم للعدالة»، مضيفاً: «استهداف البعثات والسفارات الدبلوماسية العاملة في العراق هو فعل لا يمكن تبريره، أو القبول به تحت أي ظرف، وأنه من الأفعال التي تمس الأمن الوطني واستقرار البلاد بأكملها».
ولفت إلى أن مرتكبي هذه الاعتداءات يقترفون إساءة للعراق وسيادته وأمنه، وأن هذه المجاميع المنفلتة التي لا تنصاع للقانون لا تمثل بأي حال من الأحوال إرادة الشعب العراقي، مبيناً أن خيارات الحرب والأفعال العسكرية تبقى بيد الدولة حصراً، وهي التي تمثل القرار الوطني الذي أكّدته الحكومة في مناسبات عدّة.
في الوقت ذاته، ذكر شهود عيان ومصادر أمنية أن طائرة مسيّرة استهدفت قاعدة عسكرية أمريكية قرب مطار أربيل.
بالمقابل، نقلت وسائل إعلام عن مصدر في وزارة النفط الإيرانية قوله إن ضربات جوية استهدفت مستودعات وقود بثلاث مناطق، من بينها كراج غرب طهران.
The Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani directed today (Saturday) to pursue those who launched projectiles at the vicinity of the American embassy in Iraq and bring them to justice.
The Iraqi News Agency “WAA” quoted al-Sudani’s spokesperson, Sabah al-Nu’man, saying: “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani has issued orders to all military and security leaders, in the areas of responsibility, to pursue the perpetrators of the terrorist act of launching projectiles towards the vicinity of the American embassy in Iraq and bring them to justice,” adding: “Targeting diplomatic missions and embassies operating in Iraq is an act that cannot be justified or accepted under any circumstances, and it is an act that affects national security and the stability of the entire country.”
He pointed out that the perpetrators of these attacks are committing an offense against Iraq, its sovereignty, and its security, and that these unruly groups that do not comply with the law do not represent the will of the Iraqi people in any way, indicating that the options of war and military actions remain solely in the hands of the state, which represents the national decision that the government has affirmed on several occasions.
At the same time, eyewitnesses and security sources mentioned that a drone targeted a U.S. military base near Erbil Airport.
In contrast, media outlets reported a source in the Iranian Ministry of Oil saying that airstrikes targeted fuel depots in three areas, including a garage west of Tehran.
