أجرى الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء الدكتور هشام الجضعي لقاءً موسعاً -عبر الاتصال المرئي- مع أكثر من 220 ممثلاً من الشركات العاملة في قطاعات الغذاء والدواء والمستلزمات الطبية؛ لبحث سبل تعزيز مرونة سلاسل الإمداد على المستويين المحلي والإقليمي، بحضور رئيس الهيئة العامة للموانئ المهندس سليمان المزروع. وبحث اللقاء الجهود السعودية لتعزيز جاهزية سلاسل الإمداد في القطاعات الحيوية، وترسيخ مكانتها مركزاً لوجستياً إقليمياً يدعم استقرار الأسواق، واستمرارية تدفق المنتجات.
وأشاد الجضعي بمستوى التنسيق القائم الذي أسهم في رفع كفاءة العمليات وتعزيز موثوقية الإمدادات، مشيراً إلى أهمية مبادرة المسار السريع، ودورها في دعم انسيابية حركة الشحنات ورفع كفاءة الإجراءات في المنافذ. واستعرض رئيس «الغذاء والدواء» جهود الهيئة في تطوير الإجراءات التنظيمية، بما يشمل مرونة إصدار أذونات الاستيراد وتسريع المعالجة التنظيمية، إلى جانب إعطاء الأولوية لشحنات الأدوية والأجهزة والمستلزمات الطبية ذات الأهمية الحيوية، مؤكداً أهمية رفع مستوى الجاهزية التشغيلية لـ«الغذاء والدواء» في المنافذ، من خلال تعزيز القدرات الميدانية وزيادة الكوادر التفتيشية، وتشغيل مركز الاستجابة على مدار الساعة، لإنهاء إجراءات الفسح؛ بما يسهم في تسريع حركة الشحنات مع المحافظة على الضوابط التنظيمية.
The CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, Dr. Hisham Al-Jadhai, held an extensive meeting – via video call – with more than 220 representatives from companies operating in the food, drug, and medical supplies sectors; to discuss ways to enhance the resilience of supply chains at both local and regional levels, in the presence of the Chairman of the Saudi Ports Authority, Engineer Suliman Al-Mazrou. The meeting addressed Saudi efforts to enhance the readiness of supply chains in vital sectors and to establish its position as a regional logistics hub that supports market stability and the continuous flow of products.
Al-Jadhai praised the existing level of coordination that has contributed to improving operational efficiency and enhancing the reliability of supplies, noting the importance of the fast track initiative and its role in supporting the smooth movement of shipments and improving procedures at the ports. The head of the Food and Drug Authority reviewed the Authority’s efforts in developing regulatory procedures, including the flexibility of issuing import permits and expediting regulatory processing, in addition to prioritizing shipments of medicines, devices, and medical supplies of vital importance, emphasizing the importance of raising the operational readiness of the Food and Drug Authority at the ports by enhancing field capabilities, increasing inspection personnel, and operating a 24/7 response center to complete clearance procedures; which contributes to speeding up the movement of shipments while maintaining regulatory controls.
