إن رؤية المملكة 2030 تمثل خارطة طريق إستراتيجية لتعزيز التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية في المملكة، فهي لا تركز فقط على النمو الاقتصادي، بل تولي أهمية كبرى للهوية الوطنية، والارتقاء بالقدرات البشرية، وصون الموروث الثقافي، مع مواكبة الحداثة والتطور العالمي، كما وتأتي أهمية الفعاليات الثقافية من منظور اقتصادي واجتماعي وحضاري:
1- الهوية الوطنية والانتماء
تلعب الفعاليات الثقافية دوراً محورياً في تعزيز الانتماء الوطني وإحياء التراث، حيث يلتقي المواطنون والمقيمون مع الفنون الشعبية والآداب والحرف التقليدية وهذا الالتقاء بمثابة استثمار في رأس المال الثقافي للمملكة، إذ يحفظ التراث من الاندثار ويصنع قيمة مضافة للمجتمع من خلال تعزيز الوعي بالهوية الوطنية، ما يترجم مستقبلاً إلى مجتمع متماسك قادر على المساهمة بفعالية في التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية.
