اعتبر المبعوث الأمريكي توم باراك أن تبادل 25 مقاتلاً من القوات الحكومية السورية و61 مقاتلاً درزياً في السويداء، يمثل خطوة نحو الاستقرار، لافتا إلى أن الولايات المتحدة ساعدت في تيسير هذا الجهد.
وأضاف باراك في تدوينة على حسابه بمنصة «إكس» اليوم (الجمعة) «بمساعدة قيّمة من اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر، جرى أمس تبادل 25 مقاتلاً من القوات الحكومية و61 مقاتلاً درزياً في عملية سلسة ومنظمة. تم لمّ شمل العائلات. خطوة بعيدة عن الثأر، وخطوة نحو الاستقرار».
وشكر براك النائب أبراهام حمادة على مبادرته ومثابرته الهادئة ووضوحه الأخلاقي في المساعدة على إطلاق هذه العملية. فالقيادة تصنع الفارق، خصوصا عندما تعيد الناس إلى ديارهم، في إشارة لعضو الكونغرس عن الدائرة الثامنة بولاية أريزونا أبراهام حمادة الذي ينحدر من أصول سورية.
وكانت وكالة الأنباء السورية (سانا) أعلنت أمس (الخميس) أن الصليب الأحمر الدولي أشرف على عملية تبادل للموقوفين والأسرى المحتجزين إثر أحداث يوليو 2025 في محافظة السويداء، مشيرة إلى أن عملية التبادل شملت 86 شخصاً.
ونقلت الوكالة عن محافظة السويداء مصطفى البكور، قوله إن قوى الأمن الداخلي في المحافظة، أمّنت وصول 61 موقوفاً من المحافظة إلى حاجز المتونة في الريف الشمالي، وذلك في إطار الجهود المستمرة لحل قضايا الموقوفين لدى الدولة، وإعادتهم إلى ذويهم.
وأضافت «سانا» أن العملية شملت أيضا إطلاق 25 شخصاً من الأسرى المحتجزين لدى المجموعات الخارجة عن القانون في السويداء، في عملية إنسانية وأمنية جديدة تهدف إلى لم شملهم بعائلاتهم.
وذكرت أن البكور التقى المحتجزين الـ 25 الذين تم الإفراج عنهم بحضور قائد قوى الأمن الداخلي في المحافظة العميد حسام الطحان، والمتحدث باسم وزارة الداخلية نور الدين البابا.
U.S. envoy Tom Barrack considered the exchange of 25 fighters from the Syrian government forces and 61 Druze fighters in Sweida to be a step towards stability, noting that the United States helped facilitate this effort.
Barrack added in a post on his account on the “X” platform today (Friday), “With valuable assistance from the International Committee of the Red Cross, 25 fighters from the government forces and 61 Druze fighters were exchanged yesterday in a smooth and organized operation. Families were reunited. A step away from revenge, and a step towards stability.”
Barrack thanked Representative Abraham Hamadeh for his initiative, quiet perseverance, and moral clarity in helping to launch this process. Leadership makes a difference, especially when it brings people back to their homes, referring to the Congressman from Arizona’s 8th district, Abraham Hamadeh, who has Syrian roots.
The Syrian news agency (SANA) announced yesterday (Thursday) that the International Red Cross oversaw an exchange of detainees and prisoners held following the events of July 2025 in Sweida province, indicating that the exchange involved 86 individuals.
The agency quoted Sweida Governor Mustafa al-Bakur as saying that the internal security forces in the province secured the arrival of 61 detainees from the province to the Matouna checkpoint in the northern countryside, as part of ongoing efforts to resolve the issues of detainees with the state and return them to their families.
SANA added that the operation also included the release of 25 individuals from prisoners held by lawless groups in Sweida, in a new humanitarian and security operation aimed at reuniting them with their families.
It was reported that al-Bakur met with the 25 detainees who were released in the presence of the head of the internal security forces in the province, Brigadier General Hussam al-Tahan, and the spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Nour al-Din al-Baba.
