المواقف السعودية منذ بداية الحرب الإيرانية من جهة والأمريكية والإسرائيلية من جهة أخرى؛ تكشف عن الدور المحوري الذي تؤديه الرياض في التعامل مع تداعيات تلك الحرب على أمن واستقرار المنطقة، حيث صاغت تلك المواقف لإفشال التصعيد السافر الذي تمارسه إيران، ومحاولاتها لجر السعودية ودول الخليج والأردن إلى حرب أخرى واسعة النطاق.
سياسياً، استطاعت السعودية من خلال اللقاءات والاتصالات المكثفة التي يجريها سمو ولي العهد رسم إطار التعامل مع هذه الحرب، واحتوائها بالطرق السلمية، وتعظيم أثر التحالفات والبدائل الدبلوماسية، إلى جانب توحيد الرسائل السياسية في مواجهة الاعتداءات الإيرانية غير المبررة، واتساق تلك الرسائل مع الخطاب الدولي الذي هو الآخر وجد في تلك المواقف ثباتاً وحكمة وعمقاً سعودياً في التصدي للنوايا الإيرانية وإفشالها، كذلك ما عبّرت عنه البيانات والتصاريح الرسمية من وزارة الخارجية، والتحركات الدبلوماسية لسمو وزير الخارجية من قدرة السعودية على ضبط المشهد السياسي العام، وعدم الانجرار خلف نظام إيراني فقد توازنه وقوته، وأدواته في الفوضى والتدمير.
على مستوى الطاقة، أفشلت السعودية -رغم إغلاق مضيق هرمز- خطط إيران من إحداث أزمة عالمية في سوق الطاقة، حيث بات خط أنابيب نقل النفط من رأس تنورة في الشرق إلى ينبع في الغرب بطاقة تصل إلى سبعة ملايين برميل يومياً؛ حلاً سريعاً لمواجهة تداعيات الحرب، وهو ما جعل العالم إلى اليوم ينظر إلى هذا الموقف السعودي بالكثير من الإعجاب في الحفاظ على أمن الطاقة العالمي، وسلاسل الإمداد التي لم تنقطع ليوم واحد منذ اندلاع الحرب، ووصف مراقبون تلك الجهود بأنها قدرة سعودية فائقة في التخطيط واستشراف المستقبل.
كذلك على مستوى الطيران المدني؛ باتت الأجواء السعودية مزدحمة بحركة الطيران العالمية، ووجهة آمنة لحركة الملاحة الجوية، إلى جانب استقرار مستوى التشغيل للرحلات الداخلية والدولية، ورفع مستوى خطط الطوارئ، وتسهيل عودة المعتمرين والزوّار بعد موسم رمضان، والأهم قدرة السعودية على تحويل مطاراتها لشركات طيران خليجية، وهو ما جعل انسياب حركة المسافرين والعالقين من مطاراتها يؤكد قدرتها على التموضع كمركز طيران عالمي مستقر، إضافة إلى حركة النقل البري عبر حدودها مع الأشقاء الخليجيين، وكيف حافظت السعودية على سلاسل الإمداد عبر آلاف الشاحنات التي تعبر يومياً من أراضيها.
موقف آخر على صعيد الأمن الداخلي، وكيف أظهرت المنظومة الأمنية تفاعلها مع الأحداث الجيو سياسية التي تشهدها المنطقة؛ فالمواطن والمقيم ينعمان بالأمن والاستقرار، كذلك الجهود الكبيرة التي تبذلها منظومة وزارة الدفاع في التصدي للصواريخ والمسيّرات الإيرانية، ومستوى الجاهزية العالية في التعامل معها، إضافة إلى منظومة الإعلام التي هي الأخرى تعاملت بمهنية واحترافية عالية في توحيد الرأي العام، وتقوية الجبهة الداخلية عبر رسائل إعلامية واتصالية هي أكثر وعياً بالمخاطر التي تشهدها المنطقة.
السعودية -رغم احتفاظها بحق الرد من الاعتداءات الإيرانية السافرة- استطاعت أن ترد بطريقتها لحماية أمن واستقرار المنطقة؛ فالرد ليس بالضرورة أن يكون عسكرياً رغم القدرة على ذلك، ولكن إفشال المخطط الإيراني من تحويل الحرب إلى أزمة عالمية كان بمثابة نجاح منقطع النظير للسعودية قبل أن تضع الحرب أوزارها.
The Saudi positions since the beginning of the Iranian war on one hand, and the American and Israeli positions on the other; reveal the pivotal role that Riyadh plays in dealing with the repercussions of that war on the security and stability of the region. These positions were formulated to thwart the blatant escalation practiced by Iran and its attempts to drag Saudi Arabia, the Gulf states, and Jordan into another large-scale war.
Politically, Saudi Arabia has been able, through the intensive meetings and communications conducted by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, to outline a framework for dealing with this war, containing it through peaceful means, and maximizing the impact of alliances and diplomatic alternatives. This is alongside unifying political messages in the face of the unjustified Iranian aggressions, and ensuring that these messages are consistent with the international discourse, which also found in these positions a steadfastness, wisdom, and depth from Saudi Arabia in confronting and thwarting Iranian intentions. This was also reflected in the statements and official declarations from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the diplomatic movements of His Royal Highness the Minister of Foreign Affairs, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s ability to control the overall political scene and avoid being dragged into the chaos and destruction caused by a destabilized Iranian regime.
In terms of energy, Saudi Arabia has thwarted Iran’s plans to create a global crisis in the energy market, despite the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. The oil pipeline transporting oil from Ras Tanura in the east to Yanbu in the west, with a capacity of up to seven million barrels per day, has become a quick solution to address the repercussions of the war. This has led the world to admire this Saudi position for maintaining global energy security, with supply chains that have remained uninterrupted for a single day since the outbreak of the war. Observers have described these efforts as an extraordinary Saudi capability in planning and anticipating the future.
Additionally, in terms of civil aviation; Saudi airspace has become crowded with global flight activity, and a safe destination for air navigation, alongside the stability of operations for domestic and international flights, raising the level of emergency plans, and facilitating the return of pilgrims and visitors after the Ramadan season. Most importantly, Saudi Arabia has been able to transform its airports into hubs for Gulf airlines, which has ensured the smooth flow of passengers and those stranded from its airports, confirming its ability to position itself as a stable global aviation center, in addition to the land transport movement across its borders with Gulf brothers, and how Saudi Arabia has maintained supply chains through thousands of trucks crossing daily from its territory.
Another position regarding internal security, and how the security system has shown its interaction with the geopolitical events taking place in the region; citizens and residents enjoy security and stability. There are also significant efforts made by the Ministry of Defense in confronting Iranian missiles and drones, with a high level of readiness to deal with them. Additionally, the media system has also dealt with professionalism and high expertise in unifying public opinion and strengthening the internal front through media and communication messages that are more aware of the dangers facing the region.
Saudi Arabia – despite retaining the right to respond to blatant Iranian aggressions – has managed to respond in its own way to protect the security and stability of the region; the response does not necessarily have to be military, despite the capability to do so, but thwarting the Iranian plan to turn the war into a global crisis has been an unparalleled success for Saudi Arabia before the war lays down its arms.
