رغم أن الحرب بين إيران من جهة، والولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل من جهة أخرى قد دخلت أسبوعها الثالث، إلا أن «معركة الإعلام» لا تقل أهمية وربما تأثيراً في مجريات الأحداث التي وصلت ذروتها، حيث يتّسم المشهد الإعلامي بين الأطراف المتنازعة حالياً بتصاعد وتيرة «الحرب النفسية» والمبالغة في سردية «الانتصار»، ومحاولات التضليل الإعلامي وممارسة القيود الرقابية، كذلك تعدد السرديات الرقمية باستخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي.
هذا المشهد دفع مجلس وزراء الإعلام العرب الأحد الماضي إلى إصدار بيان بالغ الأهمية حول عدم الخلط بين الاعتداءات الإيرانية على دول عربية، وبين صراع طهران مع الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل، داعياً وسائل الإعلام العربية إلى القيام بدورها في توعية الرأي العام بحقائق «العدوان الإيراني السافر» على بعض الدول العربية، مناشداً مستخدمي وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي من أبناء الشعوب العربية «عدم الانسياق وراء ما يتم ترويجه من شائعات مدسوسة على هذه الوسائل، تستهدف الوقيعة بين الشعوب العربية».
الإعلام كجزء من الصراع الدائر حالياً يجعلنا كشعوب عربية وخليجية أمام كم هائل جداً من المحتوى الإعلامي من مصادر متعددة، وحتماً جزء كبير منه أخبار مضللة، وكذلك ملونة بانتقاء جزء من الحقيقة وتوظيفها في سياق أهداف خاصة، كذلك نحن أمام فضاء سيبراني مفتوح على مصراعيه لنقل الحدث والتعليق عليه من شخصيات ومنظمات وقوى وجماعات لها أجنداتها الخاصة أيضاً، والأخطر هو المحتوى المولد بالذكاء الاصطناعي وتزييفه العميق للحقائق، وهو ما شنّ عليه الرئيس ترمب انتقاداً واسعاً في تصريحاته الأخيرة.
المطلوب في هذا التوقيت من الشعوب العربية أن يكون الرأي العام موحداً تجاه التنديد بالهجمات السافرة من إيران على بعض تلك الدول، والالتزام بالأخبار الرسمية الصادرة من الجهات الأمنية والعسكرية والدبلوماسية تجاه التعاطي مع تطورات الحرب الحالية، كذلك التفريق بين الحقائق والآراء في بناء المواقف والتوجهات، وعدم الانسياق وراء ما يتم ترويجه من مغالطات تستهدف الوقيعة وإثارة الفتن بين الشعوب العربية وبعضها البعض.
أيضاً على مستوى السلوك الاتصالي للجمهور العربي خلال الحرب؛ يتطلب عدم تصوير مواقع الأحداث، ونشرها، أو إظهار إحداثيات تلك المواقع، والتجسّس عليها، والأهم أن يتم تحصين الوعي بالمعرفة وسلامة الاتجاه بدون إيديولوجيا منحازة، والارتهان إلى المقومات الوطنية العربية، والاعتزاز بها، وبقدراتها في التصدي للاعتداء الإيراني، ودعم تلك التوجهات بإبرازها وتعزيزها كجزء مهم من التعبئة المعنوية في زمن الحرب.
في الجانب الآخر من هذا السلوك، من المهم جداً أيضاً الإبلاغ عن أي محتويات رقمية تهدّد أمن وسلامة الدول العربية، مما يساهم في إغلاق تلك الحسابات أو حذف محتواها، وبالتالي ممارسة الدور الرقابي المجتمعي في مشروع التصدي لكل محاولات التأزيم أو التشكيك للمحتوى السلبي في الشبكات الاجتماعية، كذلك الإبلاغ عن أي خلايا تجسّسية، أو ذات علاقة بعناصر خارجية، والعمل معاً مع الأجهزة الأمنية في كشفها، وكان آخرها ما تم الإعلان عنه في البحرين والإمارات والكويت وقطر، حيث بات واضحاً أن هناك خلايا تعمل ضد مصالح الدول العربية في هذه المرحلة الحسّاسة.
Although the war between Iran on one side and the United States and Israel on the other has entered its third week, the “media battle” is no less important and perhaps even more influential in the unfolding events that have reached their peak. The current media landscape among the conflicting parties is characterized by an escalation of “psychological warfare” and exaggeration in the narrative of “victory,” alongside attempts at media manipulation and the imposition of censorship. There is also a proliferation of digital narratives using artificial intelligence.
This scene prompted the Arab Ministers of Information Council last Sunday to issue a statement of great importance regarding the need to distinguish between Iranian attacks on Arab countries and Tehran’s conflict with the United States and Israel. The statement called on Arab media to fulfill their role in raising public awareness about the realities of “blatant Iranian aggression” against some Arab countries, urging social media users among Arab peoples “not to be swayed by the rumors being promoted on these platforms, which aim to sow discord among Arab peoples.”
Media, as part of the ongoing conflict, presents us as Arab and Gulf peoples with an overwhelming amount of media content from multiple sources, much of which is undoubtedly misleading news, as well as being colored by selective truths employed in the context of specific goals. We are also faced with an open cyber space for transmitting events and commenting on them by figures, organizations, forces, and groups with their own agendas. The most dangerous aspect is the content generated by artificial intelligence and its deep falsification of facts, which has drawn widespread criticism from President Trump in his recent statements.
What is required at this time from Arab peoples is for public opinion to be unified in condemning the blatant attacks from Iran on some of those countries and to adhere to the official news issued by security, military, and diplomatic authorities regarding the developments of the current war. It is also essential to differentiate between facts and opinions in forming positions and directions, and not to be swayed by the distortions being promoted that aim to incite discord and stir up strife among Arab peoples.
Additionally, regarding the communication behavior of the Arab public during the war, it is necessary to refrain from photographing event sites, publishing them, or revealing the coordinates of those sites, and spying on them. Most importantly, awareness must be fortified with knowledge and a sound direction without biased ideology, relying on Arab national components, taking pride in them, and in their capabilities to confront Iranian aggression, and supporting these orientations by highlighting and reinforcing them as an important part of moral mobilization in wartime.
On the other side of this behavior, it is also very important to report any digital content that threatens the security and safety of Arab countries, which contributes to closing those accounts or deleting their content, thus exercising a community oversight role in the project to confront all attempts at escalation or skepticism regarding negative content on social networks. Additionally, reporting any espionage cells or those related to external elements and working together with security agencies to uncover them is crucial. The latest examples include what has been announced in Bahrain, the UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar, where it has become clear that there are cells operating against the interests of Arab countries at this sensitive stage.
