انتصر فريق الاتحاد على ضيفه الخليج بهدف دون مقابل في اللقاء الذي جمعهما على استاد مدينة الأمير عبدالله الفيصل الرياضية بجدة، وذلك ضمن لقاءات الجولة الـ24 لدوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين.
شهد اللقاء سيطرة اتحادية وسط تكتل دفاعي لفريق الخليج الذي اعتمد على الهجمات المرتدة وتمكن في إحداها من إحراز هدف ولكن راية التسلل كانت بالمرصاد، ومن ركلة زاوية نفذها محمدو دومبيا تمكن دانيلو بيريرا من تحويل الكرة بقدمه لداخل مرمى الخليج كهدف أول للاتحاد (د: 52)، وكاد الخليج أن يعود للقاء ولكن تألق الحارس رايكوفيتش حال دون ذلك، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز الاتحاد بهدف دون مقابل.
وبهذه النتيجة، حقق الاتحاد فوزه الـ12 ووصل للنقطة 42 في المركز الـ5، فيما تلقى الخليج الخسارة الـ11 وتجمد رصيده عند 27 نقطة في المركز الـ11.
The Al-Ittihad team triumphed over their guest Al-Khaleej with a score of one goal to none in the match held at the Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, as part of the 24th round of the Roshen Saudi Professional League.
The match witnessed a dominant performance from Al-Ittihad amidst a defensive blockade from Al-Khaleej, who relied on counter-attacks. In one of these attacks, they managed to score a goal, but the offside flag was raised. From a corner taken by Mohamedou Dombia, Danilo Pereira was able to convert the ball with his foot into the Al-Khaleej net, marking the first goal for Al-Ittihad (52nd minute). Al-Khaleej nearly equalized, but the brilliance of goalkeeper Raikovic prevented that, and the match ended with Al-Ittihad winning by one goal to none.
With this result, Al-Ittihad achieved their 12th victory and reached 42 points, placing them in 5th position, while Al-Khaleej suffered their 11th loss, remaining at 27 points in 11th place.
