من المناسبِ أن يُضيّقَ على الرجلِ الخناق. ليس هدفه أن يقطعَ الشكَّ باليقين، فإن عرف ما يُخفيه لن يتمكن من إذلاله بالحصار، كما يفعل حين يُواصلُ تَعَقُبَه بالظنون.
يقتادُ الرجلَ إلى الشَرَك، ويُؤكّدُ لنفسه عدم الاهتمام بجلاءِ الحقيقةِ منه؛ بقدرِ ما يرغبه حبيساً لمكيدةِ الضغطِ وفقدانِ التوازن، وحتّى يشدّ القيدَ عليه ويغدو مضطّراً للخلاص والندم.

مُصرٌ على المماحكة قصد أن يقرأ في وجه الرجل هوانَ الارتباك. عليه أن يتجرّعَ زُعافَ سوءته، ويندلع فيه لهاثُ المطارد.. هذا كلّما تقصّاه الآخرون بصمتٍ عن ذلك المُبهم.
يُشاع عن الرجل الكثير منذ سنوات، بينما يُجابهُ حيرةَ عيونِهم بثباتِ اللامبالاة.

يقولُ في الرجل: من الجيد أنّ الجميعَ اعتادَ ألاّ يُكاشفه بما يُقال عنه.
الآن الرجل أمامه، والفرص لا تنتهي..
يملكُ الشجاعةَ لمواجهتِه باستفسارٍ مباشر وغير متحفزٍ لردّ. لا يبحث عن الإيضاح، فمراده دوام كسرِ هذا الرجل، وإغمادِ معولِ الريبةِ في عميقه.

بينما الرجلُ لا يكترثُ لأمسٍ وأثرِه، سأله عن حقيقةِ الأمر!..
بترَ الرجلُ خبيئةَ مبتغى السائل؛ ليجتازَ مراوغةً قذرة، وهو يُجيبُ بهدوءٍ حادّ: أنت سمعتَ ذلك عنّي.. هذا صحيح.
It is appropriate to tighten the noose around the man. His goal is not to cut doubt with certainty; if he knows what is hidden, he will not be able to humiliate him through siege, as he does when he continues to pursue him with suspicions.
The man is led into the trap, and he reassures himself of his indifference to revealing the truth from him; as much as he desires him to be a prisoner of the pressure scheme and loss of balance, so that he can tighten the chains on him and force him into desperation and regret.

Much has been rumored about the man for years, while he faces the bewilderment of their eyes with a steadfast indifference.

He says of the man: It is good that everyone has gotten used to not confronting him with what is said about him.
Now the man is before him, and the opportunities are endless…
He has the courage to confront him with a direct inquiry, unprovoked for a response. He does not seek clarification, for his aim is to continue breaking this man, and to bury the pickaxe of suspicion deep within him.

While the man does not care about yesterday and its effects, he asked him about the truth of the matter!..
The man severed the hidden desire of the questioner; to bypass a dirty evasion, he answered with a sharp calmness: You heard that about me… that is true.
