أكد البرتغالي أنطونيو فيليكس دا كوستا سائق فريق «جاكوار سي إس ريسينغ» في المؤتمر الصحفي عقب الجولة الخامسة من سباق «فورمولا إي» أن حصوله على المركز الأول في الجولة الخامسة من موسم سباقات فورمولا إي 2026، يعود إلى العمل التكاملي بين أعضاء الفريق، ما نتج عن تقديم عطاءٍ مثالي، ودقةٍ كبرى، خصوصاً أن بطولة الفورمولا إي تعد من أشد الرياضات تنافساً، كما أن الفوز فيها يتطلب ضبطَ كل عنصر بأعلى درجة من الدقة، مشيراً إلى أن هذا السباق يعدّ رقم 150 بالنسبة له، وتدوين الفوز يأتي بمثابة رد الجميل للفريق.
وأضاف: «سواءً في الدرعية أو جدة، السعودية تؤدي دوراً مهماً في دعم البطولة، سواء بالاستثمار أو تطوير التقنيات، ونحن ممتنون لهذا الدعم، ونتطلع لمواصلة السباق هنا لسنوات طويلة، خصوصاً مع قدوم الجيل الرابع من السيارات، الذي سيعطي المنافسة بُعداً جديداً، وتنافسيةً عالية».
بدوره، أبدى السويسري سيباستيان بويمي سعادته بالحصول على المركز الثاني، مؤكداً أن فريقه كان يستحق نتيجة قوية، وأن عدم حصولهم عليها، كان بسبب عدم إتقان التفاصيل الصغيرة، وأن الأهم يتمثل في تقديم سباقٍ خالٍ من الأخطاء، ما يعزّز الثقة، ويزيد الإيجابية داخل الفريق.
إلى ذلك، أوضح البريطاني أوليفر رولاند صاحب المركز الثالث، صعوبة سباق جدة، وأن عمل الفريق على إجراء تغييرات واسعة بحثاً عن حلول، كان بمثابة المساعد على إعادة ضبط الذهن.
وأضاف: «لم أتوقع أن أكون على منصة التتويج اليوم، خصوصاً مع افتقادي للثقة والإحساس بالسيارة، إلا أن الفريق قدّم عملاً كبيراً حتّم علي الدخول دون وضع أعذار، والحصول على المرتبة الثالثة».
The Portuguese Antonio Felix da Costa, driver for the “Jaguar TCS Racing” team, confirmed in the press conference following the fifth round of the “Formula E” race that his achievement of first place in the fifth round of the 2026 Formula E racing season is due to the collaborative work among team members, resulting in an ideal performance and great precision, especially since the Formula E championship is one of the most competitive sports. He noted that winning requires the utmost precision in controlling every element, mentioning that this race marks his 150th, and achieving victory serves as a way to give back to the team.
He added: “Whether in Diriyah or Jeddah, Saudi Arabia plays an important role in supporting the championship, whether through investment or technology development. We are grateful for this support and look forward to continuing the race here for many years, especially with the arrival of the fourth generation of cars, which will bring a new dimension to the competition and high competitiveness.”
For his part, Swiss driver Sebastian Buemi expressed his happiness at securing second place, affirming that his team deserved a strong result, and that their failure to achieve it was due to not mastering the small details. He emphasized that the most important aspect is to deliver a race free of mistakes, which enhances confidence and increases positivity within the team.
Additionally, British driver Oliver Rowland, who finished in third place, explained the difficulty of the Jeddah race and how the team’s efforts to make extensive changes in search of solutions helped in resetting their mindset.
He added: “I didn’t expect to be on the podium today, especially with my lack of confidence and feeling in the car, but the team did a great job that compelled me to enter without making excuses and secure third place.”
