هذا من المقالات التي تكتبها مشاعري قبل أفكاري، فأثناء مرور خريجي وخريجات أكاديمية مجموعة السعودية، في الحفل الذي أُقيم أمس الأول، تأملتُ الابتسامات العفوية الساحرة التي ارتسمت على وجوه أبناء وبنات وطني، لتعبر عن فرحة حقيقية بما أنجزوه، وثقة بما سينجزونه، فلم أملك أن أحبس دمعة فاضت فرحاً وفخراً بأبناء وبنات وطني !
قبل بدء مسيرة الخريجين والخريجات، عُرض فيلم قصير صوّر شكل الحياة في قطاع الطيران دون كوادر مؤهلة تقدم الخدمات وتؤدي المهام، طائرات بلا «كباتن»، ومحركات بلا صيانة، وحاويات بلا حركة، وحقائب بلا نقل، ومسافرون أمام كاونترات بلا موظفين. كانت اللقطات المعبرة تجسيداً حقيقياً لمعنى الفراغ في حياتنا، الذي لا نشعر به إلا عند الحاجة إلى من يملؤه !
ساهم الفيلم – الذي يستحق القائمون عليه الترشح لأكثر من جائزة في صناعة الأفلام القصيرة – في استشعار قيمة الكوادر العاملة في مجالات خدمات السفر والصيانة والتدريب ونقل العفش والتموين والخدمات الأرضية المساندة في قطاع الطيران، خدمات متكاملة متناغمة تصنع الفارق في عالم السفر والطيران !
أعود إلى الابتسامات لأبحر مع أمواج من المشاعر التي ملأت المكان، وصنعت الفرح، وخلقت البهجة، وزرعت الثقة والفخر والاعتزاز بهؤلاء الشباب والشابات، الذين يجسدون روح المجتمع السعودي وقدرته على المضي نحو مستقبل أكثر ازدهاراً !
باختصار.. في المرة القادمة التي أتوجه فيها إلى المطار، سأشعر باعتزاز أكبر بدوركم، وتقديرٍ أبلغ لجهودكم، وامتنانٍ أعظم لخدماتكم !
This is one of those articles that my feelings write before my thoughts. As I watched the charming, spontaneous smiles that adorned the faces of the graduates of the Saudi Academy during the ceremony held the day before yesterday, I reflected on their genuine joy at what they have accomplished and their confidence in what they will achieve. I couldn’t help but hold back a tear that overflowed with happiness and pride for the sons and daughters of my country!
Before the graduates’ procession began, a short film was shown depicting life in the aviation sector without qualified personnel to provide services and perform tasks—planes without “captains,” engines without maintenance, containers without movement, bags without transport, and travelers at counters without employees. The expressive shots were a true embodiment of the meaning of emptiness in our lives, which we only feel when we need someone to fill it!
The film—which its creators deserve to be nominated for more than one award in the short film industry—helped to appreciate the value of the workforce in travel services, maintenance, training, baggage transport, catering, and ground support services in the aviation sector. These are integrated and harmonious services that make a difference in the world of travel and aviation!
I return to the smiles to sail with the waves of emotions that filled the place, creating joy, generating delight, and instilling confidence, pride, and admiration for these young men and women who embody the spirit of Saudi society and its ability to move towards a more prosperous future!
In short… the next time I head to the airport, I will feel a greater pride in your role, a deeper appreciation for your efforts, and a greater gratitude for your services!
