أكد مدرب القادسية رودجرز، أن مواجهة فريقه أمام الأهلي في الجولة 26 من منافسات دوري روشن للمحترفين، تمثل اختبارًا مهمًا لمواصلة النسق التصاعدي الذي يقدمه الفريق، مشددًا في الوقت ذاته على أن المباراة ليست حاسمة في مسار الموسم، موضحًا أن الأهلي يعد من أبرز فرق الدوري هذا الموسم، وقال: «الأهلي فريق مميز وهو من أفضل فرق الدوري ومواجهتنا تمثل فرصة جيدة لمواصلة الوتيرة العالية التي نعمل عليها»، وأضاف: «نحترم دائمًا الخصوم الذين نواجههم، ونتطلع إلى تحقيق نتيجة إيجابية أمامهم»، وأشار مدرب القادسية إلى أن الفريقين يمتلكان عناصر مميزة، وعن أهمية المباراة في سباق الدوري، شدد رودجرز على أن الطريق ما زال طويلًا، مضيفًا:
«لا توجد مباراة حاسمة في هذه المرحلة، ما زال أمامنا 9 جولات، وهدفنا هو الفوز في كل مباراة والمواجهة مهمة لكنها ليست مصيرية»، وبيّن أن الجهاز الفني يركز على التحضير الكامل للمباراة، حيث قال: «جميع اللاعبين في جاهزية تامة، وما زال لدينا تمرينان مهمان قبل اللقاء»، وأكد رودجرز أن الفريق لا يعتمد على لاعب واحد في حسم المباريات، وقال: «لدينا عدة مصادر للتسجيل، والمسؤولية لا تقع على المهاجمين فقط في حسم المواجهات»، مشدداً على أهمية التوازن التكتيكي داخل الملعب، وختم حديثه بالإشادة بتجربته في الدوري السعودي، مؤكدًا إعجابه بمستوى اللاعبين والبنية التحتية، وقال: «أنا متفاجئ بكل ما رأيته في الدوري. المنشآت مميزة للغاية، وأنا منبهر بسلوك اللاعبين السعوديين والجودة الموجودة في المسابقة».

He said: “Al-Ahli is a distinguished team and one of the best in the league, and our match represents a good opportunity to maintain the high pace we are working on.” He added: “We always respect the opponents we face, and we look forward to achieving a positive result against them.” The Al-Qadisiyah coach pointed out that both teams have outstanding players. Regarding the importance of the match in the league race, Rodgers stressed that the road is still long, adding:
“There is no decisive match at this stage; we still have 9 rounds ahead of us, and our goal is to win every match. The confrontation is important, but it is not critical.” He indicated that the coaching staff is focusing on complete preparation for the match, saying: “All players are fully ready, and we still have two important training sessions before the match.” Rodgers confirmed that the team does not rely on one player to decide matches, stating: “We have several sources for scoring, and the responsibility does not fall solely on the strikers to determine the outcomes of the matches,” emphasizing the importance of tactical balance on the field. He concluded his remarks by praising his experience in the Saudi league, expressing his admiration for the level of players and the infrastructure, saying: “I am surprised by everything I have seen in the league.
