في ظل ما تشهده منطقة الخليج من تطورات وانعكاسات للحرب الأمريكية الإسرائيلية على إيران، أصدرت شرطة دبي بياناً حذّرت فيه من تصاعد محاولات احتيال تستغل الأوضاع الراهنة للإيقاع بالضحايا.
انتحال صفة رسمية للاستيلاء على البيانات
وأوضحت الشرطة أنها رصدت محتـالين ينتحلون صفة موظفين تابعين لـ«إدارة الأزمات في دبي»، ويدّعون ارتباطهم بشرطة دبي، بهدف الاستيلاء على بيانات الهوية الرقمية (UAE Pass) وبطاقة الهوية الإماراتية (EID).
وأكدت أن مشاركة هذه البيانات الحساسة تمكّن المحتالين من تنفيذ عمليات استبدال شريحة الاتصال (SIM Swap)، بما يتيح لهم السيطرة على الحسابات المصرفية عبر التطبيقات البنكية والاستيلاء على الأموال.
لا نطلب بيانات سرية عبر الهاتف
وشددت شرطة دبي على أنها لا تطلب إطلاقاً أي بيانات سرية أو رموز تحقق عبر الهاتف أو الرسائل النصية، محذّرة من الاستجابة لأي جهة تدّعي خلاف ذلك.
ودعت الجمهور إلى عدم مشاركة معلوماتهم الشخصية أو المصرفية مع أي جهة غير موثوقة، والإبلاغ الفوري عن أي محاولة احتيال عبر القنوات الرسمية، من خلال الاتصال على الرقم (901)، أو عبر منصة (ecrime) المخصصة لبلاغات الجرائم الإلكترونية
In light of the developments and repercussions of the American-Israeli war on Iran in the Gulf region, Dubai Police issued a statement warning of the rise in fraudulent attempts that exploit the current situation to trap victims.
Impersonation of official identity to seize data
The police clarified that they have detected fraudsters impersonating employees of the “Crisis Management in Dubai,” claiming to be associated with Dubai Police, with the aim of seizing digital identity data (UAE Pass) and the Emirati identity card (EID).
They confirmed that sharing this sensitive data enables the fraudsters to carry out SIM swap operations, allowing them to gain control over bank accounts through banking applications and seize funds.
We do not request confidential data over the phone
Dubai Police emphasized that they never request any confidential data or verification codes over the phone or via text messages, warning against responding to any entity claiming otherwise.
They urged the public not to share their personal or banking information with any untrusted entity and to report any attempted fraud immediately through official channels, by calling (901), or via the (ecrime) platform designated for reporting cyber crimes.
