لم يكن تفاعل رابطة المحترفين، في كل ما يخص مستحقات أو متأخرات نادي الاتحاد، أو ما أثير بشأن اللاعب كريم بنزيما، عبر بيانات صحفية أو مداخلات تلفزيونية، بالسرعة المطلوبة بوصفه إجراءً نظاميًا وإعلاميًا للرد على ما يُطرح في وسائل الإعلام ومنصات التواصل الاجتماعي، وتوضيح أي معلومات مغلوطة ودحض أي افتراءات تمس سمعة الرابطة والقائمين على المشروع الرياضي. بل جاء – كالعادة – متأخرًا جدًا، كما يُقال في المثل: «بعد الهنا بسنة »، مما أتاح مجالًا واسعًا للشائعات والتسريبات كي تنتشر من كل صوب واتجاه.
-المرة الوحيدة التي تحركت فيها الرابطة سريعًا كانت عبر بيان توضيحي موجّه لإحدى القنوات التلفزيونية الأجنبية بشأن موضوع يخص لاعب النصر كريستيانو رونالدو. أما المرة الثانية فجاءت من خلال ظهور المتحدث الرسمي للرابطة عبر القناة الرياضية السعودية، وهي قناة حكومية. وللأسف، تأخر هذا الظهور كثيرًا، وأحسب أنه لم يتم إلا بعد تصاعد انتقادات حادة تتحدث عن توجه إعلامي يسمح بالتعاون مع الإعلام الخارجي، مقابل تجاهل الإعلام الرياضي المحلي.
-ولو بحثنا عن السبب في هذا التجاهل، فأنا لا أراه متعمدًا بقدر ما هو قصور مهني لدى القائمين على الرابطة، بما في ذلك المتحدث الرسمي، الذي لا أعلم مدى خبرته الإعلامية أو ما إذا كان قد سبق له العمل في المجال الصحفي، أم أنه كُلِّف بهذه المهمة لمجرد شغل المنصب فحسب.
-على النقيض تمامًا، نجد أن وزارة الرياضة تتعامل باحترافية واضحة؛ فمع كل خبر أو معلومة تتضمن تشويهًا للحقيقة أو إثارة للشكوك والبلبلة الإعلامية، نجد وكيل وزارة الرياضة للشؤون الإعلامية والمتحدث الرسمي الدكتور عادل الزهراني حاضرًا بالرد والتوضيح أولًا بأول، سواء عبر بيانات صحفية أو من خلال الظهور المباشر في البرامج الرياضية. ولا يتوانى عن كشف الحقائق والرد على التصريحات غير المسؤولة أو المعلومات المغلوطة التي لا تستند إلى أساس صحيح.
-ولعل سرعة تفاعل الدكتور عادل الزهراني مع ما يُطرح إعلاميًا تعود إلى تخصصه الإعلامي وفهمه لطبيعة المهنة ورسالتها. ومن هنا أجد من الواجب تقديم الشكر والتقدير لوزارة الرياضة على سياستها الإعلامية. كما لاحظت أن الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم، من خلال متحدثه الرسمي الزميل سلطان المهوس بات أكثر تفاعلًا مع وسائل الإعلام، وهو تحول إيجابي أفضل من اتخاذ مواقف مضادة للنقد، أو الامتناع عن توفير المعلومة الصحيحة، أو اللجوء إلى تقديم الشكاوى ضد النقاد ومقدمي البرامج الرياضية وضيوفها.
-وانطلاقًا من هذا التحول الإيجابي الذي ينبغي علينا – كنقاد وإعلاميين رياضيين – دعمه وتشجيعه، فإنني أرجو من سمو وزير الرياضة، رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي الفيصل، توجيه خطابات إلى جميع الأندية والاتحادات واللجان المنبثقة عنها، بضرورة التفعيل العملي لدور مديري المراكز الإعلامية والمتحدثين الرسميين، وتمكينهم من أداء مهامهم على أكمل وجه. كما أؤكد أهمية التنبيه إلى أن وزارة الرياضة واللجنة الأولمبية لن تقبلا بأي تقصير يضر بسمعة الكرة السعودية محليًا وخارجيًا، أو يثير الشوشرة والبلبلة الإعلامية في مرحلة مهمة تتطلب خطابًا إعلاميًا متزنًا وفهمًا حقيقيًا للمسؤولية الوطنية من جميع الجهات الرياضية المعنية.
-هذا اقتراحي لسمو وزير الرياضة، آملًا أن يجد صداه السريع، وأن يُشكَّل فريق عمل لمتابعة توجه إعلامي واعٍ، يتسق مع أنظمة الحوكمة ومبدأ الشفافية المطلوبة، والله من وراء القصد، وهو المستعان.
The Professional League’s interaction regarding the dues or delays of Al-Ittihad Club, or what has been raised concerning player Karim Benzema, through press statements or television interventions, was not as swift as required, considering it a systematic and media procedure to respond to what is raised in the media and social media platforms, clarify any misleading information, and refute any allegations that harm the reputation of the league and those in charge of the sports project. Instead, it came – as usual – very late, as the saying goes: “after the feast, a year later,” which allowed ample room for rumors and leaks to spread from all directions.
– The only time the league reacted quickly was through a clarification statement directed to a foreign television channel regarding a topic concerning Al-Nassr player Cristiano Ronaldo. The second instance came through the official spokesperson of the league appearing on the Saudi Sports Channel, which is a government channel. Unfortunately, this appearance was delayed significantly, and I believe it only occurred after sharp criticisms arose discussing a media approach that allows cooperation with foreign media while ignoring local sports media.
– If we search for the reason behind this neglect, I do not see it as intentional as much as it is a professional shortcoming among those in charge of the league, including the official spokesperson, whose media experience I am unaware of, or whether he has previously worked in the journalistic field, or if he was assigned this task merely to fill the position.
– In stark contrast, we find that the Ministry of Sports operates with clear professionalism; with every news or information that distorts the truth or raises doubts and media confusion, we find the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson Dr. Adel Al-Zahrani present to respond and clarify promptly, whether through press statements or direct appearances in sports programs. He does not hesitate to reveal the facts and respond to irresponsible statements or misleading information that lacks a solid foundation.
– Perhaps Dr. Adel Al-Zahrani’s quick response to what is raised in the media is due to his media specialization and understanding of the nature of the profession and its message. Therefore, I find it necessary to express my gratitude and appreciation to the Ministry of Sports for its media policy. I also noticed that the Saudi Football Federation, through its official spokesperson colleague Sultan Al-Mahous, has become more interactive with the media, which is a positive shift better than taking opposing stances against criticism, or refraining from providing accurate information, or resorting to filing complaints against critics and sports program presenters and their guests.
– Based on this positive shift that we, as critics and sports journalists, should support and encourage, I hope that His Highness the Minister of Sports, President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, will send letters to all clubs, federations, and the committees derived from them, emphasizing the need for the practical activation of the roles of media center directors and official spokespersons, enabling them to perform their duties to the fullest. I also stress the importance of noting that the Ministry of Sports and the Olympic Committee will not accept any shortcomings that harm the reputation of Saudi football locally and internationally, or that stir confusion and media turmoil at a crucial stage that requires a balanced media discourse and a true understanding of national responsibility from all concerned sports entities.
– This is my suggestion to His Highness the Minister of Sports, hoping it finds a quick response, and that a working team is formed to follow up on a conscious media approach that aligns with governance systems and the required principle of transparency, and God is the ultimate goal, and He is the one sought for help.
