من بين «الرواشين» والزجاج المعشق خلف ألوانه الصفراء والحمراء والخضراء؛ فسيفساء تعكس ضياء خشوع آتٍ من عبادة ننال بها التقى والرضا.. شهر تشرق شمسه على أروقة الساحات والميادين.
في باكورته؛ وقت تخضَّر فيه المآذن من قدسية نداء تخشع من صوته القباب.. أذان يتعمق فينا بعبارة «الصلاة خير من النوم»، فنبدأ نهارنا بفريضة تحمل هدوءاً وسكينة وسلاماً.. وقت تتجه فيه كل خلايانا صوب الإله، فتسجد فيه حواسنا خشوعاً بقرآن فجرٍ كان مشهوداً.
وعند غروبه؛ زرقة سماء وشفق تزقزق فيه العصافير احتفاء بـ«لمة» عائلية على «طعام الإفطار».. طفل ينتظر على نافذة البيت ليسمع «الله أكبر، الله أكبر» فينطلق إلى أسرته متفوهاً بصوت بلبلي «افطروا، افطروا».. صحن «تمر» يُتداول ومائدة خلابة يغشاها فيض من الروحانية؛ ذكرٌ لله ومناجاة وابتهال وطلب من الخالق فيرد البقية «آمين».. ماء عذب يبلل العروق، وقصص وأحاديث تخرج مع أصوات الأطباق والملاعق.. طعامٌ وشراب وروحانية لا تكتمل إلا بالدعاء النبوي «ذهب الظمأ وابتلت العروق وثبت الأجر إن شاء الله».
أما صلاة التراويح؛ فلحظات سماوية تزيح الهموم، يدفعنا إليها بلطف هواء لطيف.. نرتاح حين نسمع نداء «صلاة القيام أثابكم الله».. مسرات لامعة على وجوه ساجدة وراكعة، وصفوف خاشعة وأكف خاضعة.. آيات بينات تنير المحاريب بتلاوات هادئة.
ومساء معطر بضحكات طفولية بريئة؛ نجوم تتلألأ، وهلال مبتسم، وفوانيس متدلية ترقص ألوانها على أنغام «طاق طاق طاقية».
محظوظ أنت يا شهر الضياء بهذا البهاء.. فرونقك باقٍ على مر الزمان برفعة وسناء.
Among the “rawashin” and the stained glass behind its yellow, red, and green colors; a mosaic reflecting the light of a reverence that comes from worship through which we attain piety and satisfaction.. A month whose sun shines on the corridors of squares and plazas.
In its early days; a time when the minarets turn green from the sanctity of the call that humbles the domes with its sound.. A call to prayer that deepens within us with the phrase “Prayer is better than sleep,” so we begin our day with an obligation that carries tranquility, serenity, and peace.. A time when all our cells turn towards the Divine, bowing our senses in reverence with the Quran of a dawn that was witnessed.
And at its sunset; a blue sky and a twilight where birds chirp in celebration of a family gathering over “Iftar food”.. A child waits by the window to hear “Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar” and rushes to his family exclaiming in a chirpy voice “Iftar, Iftar”.. A plate of “dates” is passed around and a magnificent table is enveloped in a flood of spirituality; remembrance of Allah, supplication, and requests from the Creator, to which the rest respond “Ameen”.. Fresh water moistens the veins, and stories and conversations emerge with the sounds of dishes and spoons.. Food, drink, and spirituality that is not complete without the prophetic prayer “Thirst has gone, the veins are moistened, and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.”
As for the Taraweeh prayer; it is a heavenly moment that lifts worries, gently urged by a pleasant breeze.. We find comfort when we hear the call “The prayer of standing, may Allah reward you” .. Shining joys on the faces of those prostrating and bowing, humble rows and submissive hands.. Clear verses illuminate the prayer niches with calm recitations.
And an evening fragrant with innocent childhood laughter; stars twinkling, a smiling crescent, and lanterns hanging that dance with colors to the tunes of “Taq Taq Taqiya”.
Lucky are you, O month of light, with this splendor.. For your radiance remains through time with nobility and brilliance.
