في واحد من أقوى لقاءات جولة الإياب لدور الـ16 لدوري أبطال أوروبا يستضيف مانشستر سيتي الإنجليزي نظيره ريال مدريد الإسباني عند تمام الساعة 11 من ليل اليوم (الثلاثاء) على ملعب الاتحاد.
وكان ريال مدريد قد قطع خطوة كبيرة نحو التأهل إلى الدور ربع النهائي، بعدما حقق فوزاً ثميناً على مانشستر سيتي بثلاثة أهداف دون رد في مباراة الذهاب التي أقيمت على ملعب سانتياجو برنابيو.

ويدخل ريال مدريد هذا اللقاء بعدة فرص لعبور مضيفه في مواجهة الليلة، إذ يحتاج للفوز أو التعادل بأي نتيجة، أو الخسارة بفارق لا يزيد عن هدفين. وشهد معسكر الفريق الأخير عودة الرباعي المصاب كيليان مبابي وجود بيلينغهام وألفارو كاريراس وديفد ألابا، ما سيزيد من فرص الفريق الإسباني للخروج بنتيجة إيجابية.
فيما يدخل فريق مانشستر سيتي هذا اللقاء ولا أمل له سوى الفوز بنتيجة تاريخية لتعويض خسارته ذهاباً والتأهل لدور ربع النهائي، ورغم صعوبة المهمة إلا إن مدربه بيب غوارديولا قال في المؤتمر الصحفي الذي يسبق اللقاء: «علينا التركيز على الفوز بالمباراة ثم نرى ما سيحدث، ليس لدي خطة محددة بخلاف المحاولة».
