كشفت المدعية العامة الأمريكية بام بوندي عن قائمة تضم 305 شخصيات بارزة وردت أسماؤهم ضمن «ملفات إبستين»، من بينهم الملياردير الأمريكي بيل غيتس.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة ضمن مسار نشر تدريجي لملايين الرسائل الإلكترونية والصور والوثائق المرتبطة بالقضية المرفوعة ضد الممول الأمريكي المدان جيفري إبستين، في واحدة من أكثر القضايا إثارة للجدل في الولايات المتحدة.
وأعلنت بوندي أن الإفراج عن كامل الملفات جاء التزامًا بالمادة الثالثة من «قانون شفافية ملفات إبستين»، مشيرة في رسالة موجهة إلى الكونغرس بتاريخ 14 فبراير، إلى أن القائمة تضم أشخاصًا «يشغلون أو شغلوا مناصب حكومية أو يُعدّون شخصيات سياسية بارزة»، ووردت أسماؤهم في الملفات المنشورة «مرة واحدة على الأقل».
وأكدت وزارة العدل أن موظفين فيدراليين أمضوا ساعات طويلة في فرز أكثر من ثلاثة ملايين ملف، جرى نشرها على دفعات خلال ديسمبر ويناير.
«ديلي ميل» تكشف لقطات صادمة
من جانبها، نشرت صحيفة ديلي ميل البريطانية تفاصيل ولقطات وصفتها بـ«المثيرة للاشمئزاز»، تكشف جانبًا مظلمًا من الأساليب التي اتبعها إبستين في استدراج ضحاياه.
وبحسب الصحيفة، تضمنت الدفعة المنشورة أكثر من 180 ألف صورة ونحو ألفي شريط فيديو، تعادل نحو 14 ساعة من اللقطات، بما يمنح نظرة على ما وصفته بـ«العملية الفاسدة» التي كان يديرها إبستين.
وأشارت إلى أن الملفات تُظهر نمطًا متكررًا من طلب محتوى ذي طابع جنسي من فتيات صغيرات، إضافة إلى مقاطع تُظهر سلوكيات مسيئة واستغلالًا واضحًا للضحايا. كما تضمنت الملفات مواد إباحية يُعتقد أن إبستين قام بتحميلها على حاسوبه الشخصي، من بينها فيديو قديم بعنوان «فقاعات صغيرة» (Tiny Bubbles).
استدراج تحت غطاء الموضة
وكشفت «ديلي ميل» أن بعض المقاطع تدعم فرضية أن إبستين كان يستدرج ضحاياه متظاهرًا بصفته كشاف مواهب مرتبطًا بعالم الأزياء، مستغلًا اسم شركة «فيكتوريا سيكريت» لإضفاء شرعية زائفة على تحركاته.
كما تضمنت اللقطات مشاهد لإبستين في مناسبات اجتماعية برفقة فتيات صغيرات، وأخرى وُصفت بأنها «مقلقة» داخل منازل فخمة، من بينها مقر إقامته في باريس.
وأوضحت الصحيفة أنها قامت بتحرير المواد المنشورة لإخفاء هويات الضحايا قدر الإمكان، إضافة إلى التعديلات التي أجرتها وزارة العدل مسبقًا قبل نشر الملفات.
بين الظهور في الملفات وافتراض البراءة
ورغم ضخامة الأسماء الواردة في القائمة، شددت بوندي ونائبها على أن ورود اسم أي شخصية في «ملفات إبستين» لا يعني بالضرورة ثبوت تورط أو إدانة في الجرائم المرتبطة بالقضية، بل قد يكون الاسم قد ورد في سياقات متعددة.
ومع استمرار تدفق الوثائق إلى العلن، تتصاعد التساؤلات حول التداعيات السياسية والقانونية، في قضية ما تزال تلقي بظلال ثقيلة على عالم السياسة والمال والمشاهير.
The U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed a list of 305 prominent figures whose names appeared in the “Epstein Files,” including American billionaire Bill Gates.
This step is part of a gradual release of millions of emails, images, and documents related to the case against convicted American financier Jeffrey Epstein, in one of the most controversial cases in the United States.
Bondi announced that the full release of the files was in compliance with the third section of the “Epstein Files Transparency Act,” noting in a letter addressed to Congress on February 14 that the list includes individuals “who hold or have held government positions or are considered prominent political figures,” and their names appeared in the published files “at least once.”
The Department of Justice confirmed that federal employees spent long hours sorting through more than three million files, which were released in batches during December and January.
“Daily Mail” Reveals Shocking Footage
For its part, the British newspaper Daily Mail published details and footage it described as “disgusting,” revealing a dark aspect of the methods Epstein used to lure his victims.
According to the newspaper, the released batch included more than 180,000 images and nearly 2,000 video clips, totaling about 14 hours of footage, providing insight into what it described as Epstein’s “corrupt operation.”
It noted that the files show a recurring pattern of soliciting sexually explicit content from young girls, in addition to clips showing abusive behaviors and clear exploitation of the victims. The files also included pornographic materials believed to have been downloaded by Epstein onto his personal computer, including an old video titled “Tiny Bubbles.”
Luring Under the Guise of Fashion
Daily Mail revealed that some clips support the hypothesis that Epstein was luring his victims while pretending to be a talent scout connected to the fashion world, exploiting the name of the “Victoria’s Secret” brand to lend false legitimacy to his actions.
The footage also included scenes of Epstein at social events accompanied by young girls, as well as other scenes described as “concerning” inside luxurious homes, including his residence in Paris.
The newspaper clarified that it edited the published materials to conceal the identities of the victims as much as possible, in addition to the modifications made by the Department of Justice prior to the release of the files.
Between Appearance in the Files and Presumption of Innocence
Despite the prominence of the names on the list, Bondi and her deputy emphasized that the inclusion of any individual in the “Epstein Files” does not necessarily imply involvement or conviction in crimes related to the case, as the name may have appeared in multiple contexts.
As the flow of documents continues to emerge, questions are rising regarding the political and legal ramifications in a case that still casts heavy shadows over the world of politics, finance, and celebrities.
