من الواضح أن الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم، بقيادة ياسر المسحل، لم يعد أمامه متسع كبير من الخيارات، بقدر ما هو أمام اختبار حقيقي في قدرته على الحسم.

– النتائج الأخيرة، وعلى رأسها الخسارة القاسية أمام المنتخب المصري، لم تكن مجرد نتيجة عابرة، بل جرس إنذار واضح يعكس وجود خلل فني يتطلب معالجة عاجلة. ومع ذلك، فإن تأخر اتخاذ القرار المناسب فتح باب التساؤلات حول أسباب هذا التردد، في وقت كانت الجماهير تنتظر رد فعل يتناسب مع حجم الحدث.

– المرحلة الحالية لا تحتمل الاجتهادات غير الواضحة، ولا القرارات التي تفتقر إلى التفسير الكافي، خصوصًا في ظل الدعم الكبير الذي تحظى به الرياضة السعودية. استمرار هذا المشهد دون حسم قد يوسع الفجوة بين الشارع الرياضي وصانع القرار، وهو أمر لا يصب في مصلحة المنتخب.

– كمواطن سعودي وصحفي يبقى الشعور بعدم الرضا على قرارات «هز» هيبة القرار تجاه بعض ما طُرح في الفترة الماضية، ليس رفضًا بقدر ما هو حرص على أن تكون القرارات بمستوى الطموح، وبما يعكس مكانة «الأخضر» وتاريخه. فالمسألة اليوم ليست مجرد نتائج، بل صورة اتحاد، وثقة جماهير، ومسار منتخب.

– وعليه، فإن إعادة تقييم الجهاز الفني لم تعد خيارًا يمكن تأجيله، بل ضرورة تفرضها المرحلة، وتتطلب قرارًا واضحًا لا يقبل التأخير. ومع اقتراب مشاركة الأخضر في نهائيات كأس العالم حيث لم يتبقَ سوى ثلاثة أشهر، يبرز سؤال البديل كأحد أهم التحديات. ومن وجهة نظري، فإن خيار التعاقد مع مدرب النادي الأهلي ماتياس يايسله يستحق الطرح الجاد، لما يملكه من معرفة بالكرة السعودية، وللعمل الذي يقدمه، إضافة إلى قدرته على تطوير أداء اللاعبين، خصوصًا العناصر المحلية، وهو ما قد يمنح المنتخب دفعة يحتاجها في هذا التوقيت.

– في النهاية، تبقى مصلحة «الأخضر» فوق كل اعتبار، لكن هذه المصلحة تبدأ أولًا بقرار واضح: هل نحن أمام مرحلة حسم… أم استمرار في دائرة التردد والإصرار على إبقاء مدرب أثبت فشله والتعاقد معه كان قرارًا «سيئًا».

Nevertheless, the delay in making the appropriate decision has raised questions about the reasons for this hesitation, at a time when fans were expecting a reaction commensurate with the magnitude of the event.

– The most controversial point remains the decision to return the coach, after his contract was previously terminated to take over the training of his national team (women’s), only to return in a short period to lead the team again.

– This sequence cannot be overlooked, as it raises legitimate questions about the decision-making mechanism and its alignment with the concept of technical stability. The return of a coach who ended his association for another experience, then quickly regained his position, requires a clear explanation to be presented to the public, as the absence of that leaves impressions that do not serve the image of institutional work.

– The current phase does not tolerate unclear speculations or decisions that lack sufficient explanation, especially in light of the significant support that Saudi sports enjoys. The continuation of this scene without resolution may widen the gap between the sports community and decision-makers, which is not in the interest of the national team.

– As a Saudi citizen and journalist, the feeling of dissatisfaction with the decisions that “shake” the authority of the decision regarding some of what has been proposed in the past period remains, not out of rejection but rather a concern that decisions should meet aspirations and reflect the status and history of the “Green” team. The issue today is not just about results, but about the image of the federation, the trust of the fans, and the path of the national team.

– Therefore, reevaluating the technical staff is no longer an option that can be postponed, but a necessity imposed by the current phase, requiring a clear decision that cannot be delayed. With the national team’s participation in the World Cup finals approaching and only three months left, the question of a replacement emerges as one of the most significant challenges. In my opinion, the option of contracting with Al-Ahli coach Matthias Jaissle deserves serious consideration, due to his knowledge of Saudi football, the work he provides, and his ability to develop the performance of players, especially local elements, which may give the national team the boost it needs at this time.

– In the end, the interest of the “Green” team remains above all considerations, but this interest begins first with a clear decision: Are we facing a decisive phase… or continuing in a cycle of hesitation and insistence on keeping a coach who has proven his failure and whose hiring was a “bad” decision.
