مشاهدة الأفلام أو المسلسلات التاريخية تكشف فوارق واضحة بين السيرة كما كتبت وبين واقع وزمنية الحدث التاريخيّ.. ولأن كثافة الأحداث والسير الماضوية يجنح البعض إلى تقريب الأحداث في محاولة لتطابقها، مع أنه لا تطابق حرفياً بين الأحداث المختلفة، إلا أن الناس استسهلوا وصدقوا بالتطابق.
وثمة مقولة تجري على الألسن بأن التاريخ يعيد نفسه، حينما تتطابق الأحداث وتقترب من إعادة حدث ماضوي بعينه، وهي مقولة تتناسخ وفق نوعية تلك العودة، وحين نرددها نحن – كأفراد – فهذا يعني تطابق الحدث في عودته مع أمانينا لما كنا عليه من أنس في زمن الحدث نفسه أو في تصديق المروي وتثبيته كحقيقة معرفية من غير تمحيص لما ثبت في أذهاننا.. ومن غير هذه المقدمة الباحثة عن فلسفة مقولة (التاريخ يعيد نفسه) ثمة أحداث ترفع ستارة الماضي وتمكنك من مشاهدة ما تحب، مثلها مثل الذكريات التي تمكنك من استعادة الماضي ليس بحذافيره وإنما الاقتراب مما كانت عليه اللحظة.
ونحن لا نستوعب أن الاستعادة هي حكم شخصي، فالأحداث التي مرت بك يمكن استعارة مقولة (التاريخ يعيد نفسه)، ويسقط هذا الادعاء عندما تطبق المقولة على حدث لم تعشه، أو قرأت، أو سمعت به، إذ إن المقروء أو المسموع قد يحمل في طياته أحداثاً تم حذفها أو تغييرها أو أضيفت عليها زوائد أخرى.. ويصبح ترديدك أن التاريخ يعيد نفسه حكماً متسرعاً، يضلل من يواجه الحدث الآني بأن تاريخ أمته قد مر بهذا الحدث الآني نفسه.
الزمن لا يعيد نفسه مطلقاً، لا يعيد نفسه كما حدث سابقاً، فكل لحظة زمنية هي بصمة جديدة لم يسبق أن تطابقت حرفياً بما سبقها أو لحق بها.. وعلينا التمحيص في ما نقرأ أو نشاهد عن فترات زمنية سابقة.
وحين ترغب السينما أو الدراما في استرجاع الأحداث الماضوية، فهناك مؤثرات قوية تبعد الحدث الأم، واستبداله بأحداث مختلقة أو محسنة أو مشوهة، كما أن وسيلة الدراما وسيلة ترفيهية لا تعنى بالتصويب أو المراجعة، فهي معنية بخلق عوالم بصرية جاذبة بغض النظر عن صحة ما يتم عرضه.. كما أن الكتابة التاريخية سجن لا يمكن الكاتب من حرية الانطلاق، فالمخيلة الإبداعية تتعطل إن أراد السير على أحداث المكتوب عن الحدث تاريخياً.. ولذلك يستحسن ذكر أن المقدم للجمهور ليس بواقعية التاريخ ذاته وإنما تم دمج التاريخ بالمتخيل.. والجميل أن تقدم السينما أحداثاً تاريخية بها جمال المتخيل، والأجمل أن يستوعب المشاهد أنه في رحلة متعة بصرية وليس في درس تاريخي يحفظه كما شاهده.
Watching historical films or series reveals clear differences between the narrative as it was written and the reality and timing of the historical event. Because of the density of past events and narratives, some tend to approximate events in an attempt to match them, even though there is no literal correspondence between different events. However, people have found it easy to believe in this correspondence.

This saying reproduces itself according to the nature of that return, and when we repeat it as individuals, it means that the event in its return matches our wishes for what we were like in the time of the event itself or in believing the narrative and affirming it as a cognitive truth without scrutinizing what has been established in our minds. Beyond this introduction seeking the philosophy of the saying (history repeats itself), there are events that lift the curtain of the past and allow you to see what you love, much like memories that enable you to retrieve the past not in its entirety but to approach what that moment was like.
We do not comprehend that retrieval is a personal judgment. The events you have experienced can borrow the saying (history repeats itself), and this claim falls apart when the saying is applied to an event you have not lived, read about, or heard of. The written or heard material may carry within it events that have been omitted, altered, or added with other embellishments. Thus, your repetition that history repeats itself becomes a hasty judgment, misleading those who face the current event into thinking that their nation’s history has gone through this very same current event.
Time never repeats itself; it does not return as it did before. Every moment in time is a new fingerprint that has never literally matched what came before it or what follows it. We must scrutinize what we read or watch about previous time periods.
When cinema or drama wishes to retrieve past events, there are strong influences that distance the original event, replacing it with fabricated, enhanced, or distorted events. Moreover, the medium of drama is an entertainment tool that does not concern itself with accuracy or revision; it is concerned with creating visually attractive worlds regardless of the truth of what is being presented. Additionally, historical writing is a prison that does not allow the writer the freedom to take flight; the creative imagination becomes stifled if one wishes to adhere to the events written about the historical event. Therefore, it is preferable to mention that what is presented to the audience is not the reality of history itself but rather a blend of history with the imaginary. The beauty lies in cinema presenting historical events with the charm of the imaginary, and the greater beauty is for the viewer to understand that they are on a journey of visual pleasure, not in a history lesson to be memorized as they have seen it.
