دانت وزارة خارجية باكستان، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، «الهجمات الصاروخية وبالطائرات المسيرة التي شنتها إيران على منشآت للطاقة في المنطقة الشرقية للمملكة العربية السعودية»، بحسب ما أورد بيان للخارجية الباكستانية، الثلاثاء.
واعتبرت باكستان أن «هذه الهجمات تمثل انتهاكاً صارخاً لسيادة المملكة وسلامة أراضيها، وتصعيداً خطيراً يقوّض السلام والاستقرار في المنطقة».
ونقلت «رويترز» عن مسؤول أمني باكستاني، أن إسلام أباد ستصطف مع السعودية بموجب معاهدة الدفاع في حال تصاعد النزاع في الشرق الأوسط.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan condemned today (Tuesday) the “rocket and drone attacks launched by Iran on energy facilities in the eastern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” according to a statement from the Pakistani Foreign Office on Tuesday.
Pakistan considered that “these attacks represent a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom and its territorial integrity, and a serious escalation that undermines peace and stability in the region.”
Reuters reported from a Pakistani security official that Islamabad would align with Saudi Arabia under the defense treaty in the event of an escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.
