أكد قائد فريق الخلود هتان باهبري أن طموحه وزملائه مواصلة تحقيق الحلم الكبير بحصد كأس الملك والتشرف بالسلام على راعي المباراة النهائية، إلى جانب البقاء في دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين. جاء ذلك في حديثه مع «عكاظ»، والذي تطرق من خلاله للعديد من الأمور المتعلقة بنادي الخلود في الموسم الحالي، والمنتخب السعودي الذي يتمنى له التوفيق في كأس العالم 2026. وإليكم نص الحوار:
• بداية حدثنا عن سر فوز فريقكم الخلود على الاتحاد والتأهل لمواجهة الهلال في المباراة النهائية لكأس الملك؟
•• الحمد لله على تحقيق فريقنا الخلود الفوز على فريق الاتحاد في دور نصف النهائي في بطولة كأس الملك، بعد مباراة ماراثونية نجحنا من خلالها في تجاوز فريق كبير بحجم الاتحاد بروح الفريق الواحد، واستطعنا خلال مجريات المباراة التي شهدت الأشواط الأصلية نتيجة التعادل الإيجابي 2/2، ومن ثم التفوق والانتصار بالضربات الترجيحية 4/5، إسعاد محبي نادي الخلود بالتأهل لمواجهة فريق الهلال في المباراة النهائية على كأس الملك.
• هل الخلود قادر على تحقيق كأس الملك؟
•• نحن نعلم أن فريق الهلال من الفرق الكبيرة ويملك أفضل العناصر الأجنبية والمحلية ولكن تبقى كرة القدم لا يوجد بها شيء مستحيل، وسنعمل على احترام الخصم والتحضير بشكل جيد للمباراة النهائية وسنبذل قصارى جهدنا للظهور بالمستوى الفني والسعي لتحقيق الفوز وحصد كأس الملك، ويبقى الأهم التشرف بالسلام على راعي المباراة الختامية.
• كيف نجح الخلود بالوصول لنهائي كأس الملك؟
•• كما ذكرت لك روح الفريق الواحد في نادي الخلود ساهمت في وصول الفريق للمباراة النهائية لكأس الملك، وأيضاً العمل الاحترافي من قبل مجلس الإدارة برئاسة بن هاربورغ والجهاز الفني بقيادة المدرب باكينغهام وجهازه المساعد، وهدفنا تحقيق إنجاز كبير وتاريخي بحصد أغلى الكؤوس المحلية، والعمل على بقاء فريق الخلود في دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين، وسيتحقق ذلك ونسعد جميع محبي نادي الخلود.
• مُنحت شارة الكابتنية في فريق الخلود، ماذا يعني لك ذلك؟
•• حمل شارة الكابتنية في فريق الخلود جاء بثقة الجميع في الفريق، ويزيد من المسؤولية ويقودني لتقديم مهمات خاصة داخل الفريق، وأفتخر بذلك في ظل وجود عناصر أجنبية ومحلية رائعة في الفريق ولديها طموح كبير بتحقيق إنجاز تاريخي عقب الوصول لنهائي كأس الملك والتأهل للمشاركة في كأس السوبر السعودي الموسم القادم، وكذلك مواصلة المشوار من أجل البقاء في دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين الموسم الحالي.
• هل ترى اختيارك لخوض تجربة احترافية مع نادي الخلود كان قراراً مناسباً لك؟
•• نعم اختيار الخلود كمحطة احترافية سادسة في مشواري الكروي بعد أندية الاتحاد والخليج والشباب والهلال والتعاون، يعتبر قراراً مصيرياً بالنسبة لي في ظل العروض الاحترافية التي تلقيتها في الصيف الماضي، ولكن فضلت أن أخوض تجربة احترافية مع نادي الخلود في ظل وجود إدارة رائعة بقيادة الرئيس بن هابورغ والبيئة المتوفرة داخل النادي.
• نراك تعيش حالة فنية ونفسية جيدة مع فريق الخلود، ما سبب ذلك؟
•• نعم أعيش حالة ارتياح فنية ونفسية مع فريق الخلود في ظل الأجواء المناسبة داخل النادي، والعمل الاحترافي من قبل إدارة النادي، والجهاز الفني للفريق، وكذلك لا أنسى المعد البدني البرازيلي سالو دافي، صديق معالج قائد فريق النصر كريستيانو رونالدو، الذي أقوم بأداء تمارين خاصة معه، إلى جانب الدعم المعنوي من قبل الوالدين وإخواني وزوجتي وأبنائي وجميع الأصدقاء الذين يتمنون لي التوفيق خلال مشواري الكروي.
• لم يوجد اسمك في قائمة المنتخب السعودي الحالية، كيف ترى ذلك؟
•• بالنسبة لي أنا رهن إشارة المنتخب السعودي في أي وقت، ويبقى القرار بيد الجهاز الفني، وحالياً أعمل بشكل فني رائع مع فريق الخلود، وأتمنى التوفيق لمنتخبنا الوطني في كأس العالم 2026 في أمريكا وكندا والمكسيك.
• كيف ترى مجموعة المنتخب السعودي بمونديال 2026؟
•• تضم مجموعة منتخبنا الوطني في بطولة كأس العالم القادمة منتخبات كبيرة بحجم إسبانيا والأوروغواي والرأس الأخضر، ويجب التحضير لتلك المنتخبات بشكل جيد من أجل الحضور المشرف لمنتخبنا الوطني وتقديم المستوى الذي يليق بالكرة السعودية والتطور الذي تشهده في ظل دعم القيادة الحكيمة، والاهتمام والمتابعة من قبل وزير الرياضة الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي الفيصل، والعمل الذي يقوم به رئيس الاتحاد السعودي ياسر المسحل، وسنشاهد الأخضر بشكل رائع في المونديال القادم.

• First, tell us about the secret of your team’s victory, Al-Khulood, over Al-Ittihad and qualifying to face Al-Hilal in the final match of the King’s Cup?
•• Thank God for our team, Al-Khulood, achieving victory over Al-Ittihad in the semi-finals of the King’s Cup, after a marathon match in which we succeeded in overcoming a big team like Al-Ittihad with the spirit of teamwork. During the match, which saw the original halves end in a positive draw of 2-2, we managed to excel and win on penalties 4-5, bringing joy to the fans of Al-Khulood by qualifying to face Al-Hilal in the final match for the King’s Cup.
• Is Al-Khulood capable of winning the King’s Cup?
•• We know that Al-Hilal is one of the big teams and has the best foreign and local players, but in football, nothing is impossible. We will work to respect the opponent and prepare well for the final match, and we will do our utmost to show a high level of performance and strive to achieve victory and win the King’s Cup. The most important thing remains to have the honor of greeting the sponsor of the final match.
• How did Al-Khulood succeed in reaching the final of the King’s Cup?
•• As I mentioned, the spirit of teamwork in Al-Khulood Club contributed to the team’s reaching the final match of the King’s Cup. Also, the professional work by the Board of Directors, chaired by Ben Habourgh, and the coaching staff led by coach Buckingham and his assistants, aimed to achieve a significant and historic achievement by winning the most prestigious local cups, and working to keep Al-Khulood in the Roshan Saudi Professional League. This will be achieved, and we will make all Al-Khulood fans happy.
• You were given the captain’s armband in Al-Khulood, what does that mean to you?
•• Carrying the captain’s armband in Al-Khulood came with the trust of everyone in the team, which increases the responsibility and leads me to perform special tasks within the team. I take pride in this, especially with the presence of wonderful foreign and local players in the team who have great ambitions to achieve a historic achievement after reaching the final of the King’s Cup and qualifying to participate in the Saudi Super Cup next season, as well as continuing the journey to stay in the Roshan Saudi Professional League this season.
• Do you think choosing to pursue a professional experience with Al-Khulood was a suitable decision for you?
•• Yes, choosing Al-Khulood as my sixth professional stop in my football journey after Al-Ittihad, Al-Khaleej, Al-Shabab, Al-Hilal, and Al-Taawun is a fateful decision for me given the professional offers I received last summer. However, I preferred to pursue a professional experience with Al-Khulood due to the excellent management led by President Ben Habourgh and the environment available within the club.
• We see you living in a good technical and psychological state with Al-Khulood, what is the reason for that?
•• Yes, I am experiencing a state of technical and psychological comfort with Al-Khulood in light of the suitable atmosphere within the club, the professional work by the club’s management, and the coaching staff of the team. I also cannot forget the Brazilian physical trainer, Salu Davi, a friend of the physiotherapist for Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo, with whom I perform special exercises, along with the moral support from my parents, brothers, wife, children, and all the friends who wish me success in my football journey.
• Your name is not on the current Saudi national team list, how do you see that?
•• For me, I am at the service of the Saudi national team at any time, and the decision remains in the hands of the coaching staff. Currently, I am working wonderfully with Al-Khulood, and I wish our national team success in the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
• How do you view the Saudi national team’s group in the 2026 World Cup?
•• Our national team’s group in the upcoming World Cup includes strong teams like Spain, Uruguay, and Cape Verde. We must prepare well for those teams to ensure a commendable presence for our national team and to present a level that befits Saudi football and the development it is witnessing under the support of the wise leadership, and the attention and follow-up from the Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, and the work being done by the President of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser Al-Mishal. We will see the Green Team performing wonderfully in the upcoming World Cup.
