قدّمت العديد من منصات الإعلام العربية أداءً باهتاً خلال هذه الحرب، خاصةً في ما يتعلق بالتحليل، فالبرامج الحوارية التي يُفترض أن تستضيف خبراء يقدمون آراءً موضوعية ومهنية لمجريات الحرب، تحولت إلى برامج «مناقر طيور» بين أضداد يعبرون عن أهواء وأمنيات لا تحليلات ووقائع، فكانت أشبه بالبرامج الرياضية التي يتبارى فيها مشجعو الأندية كما تتبارى فرقهم في الملاعب !
اللافت في شبكات الأخبار الخليجية، منح الجانب الإيراني مساحات واسعة لتبرير الاعتداءات الإيرانية وتقديم وجهة نظر النظام الإيراني، في الوقت الذي لم تفسح فيه وسائل الإعلام الإيرانية، في المقابل، المجال لأي وجهة نظر مخالفة للرواية الإيرانية بهدف السيطرة على توجهات الرأي العام. بل إن إحدى القنوات الخليجية الشهيرة، بدت وكأنها تمثل وجهة نظر النظام الإيراني في هذه الحرب، في الوقت الذي كانت تتعرض فيه دول الخليج للاعتداءات الآثمة بالصواريخ والمسيّرات الإيرانية، وتتصدى فيه مقاتلاتها للمقاتلات الإيرانية المغيرة وتُسقطها في البحر !
هذه المثالية الإعلامية الساذجة لا تصلح في ساحات الصراع، التي تكون الدول المالكة لوسائل الإعلام طرفاً فيها، كما أن استضافة أشخاص يلمّعون صورة الطرف المعتدي، ويبررون اعتداءاته على دول الخليج العربية التي لم تشارك في الحرب، كان أمراً مستفزاً ودليلاً على مهنية عرجاء في زمن لا مكان فيه للمثاليات، وكان يجب أن يشارك بدلاً منهم معارضون إيرانيون يمثلون مصالح الشعب الإيراني التوّاق للحرية والتخلص من هذا النظام !
لقد ساهم وجود ممثلي الرواية الإيرانية في بعض نشرات وبرامج الشبكات الإخبارية التلفزيونية الخليجية والعربية في تغذية التبريرات الإيرانية، ومنح الفرصة لتحسين صورة العدو لدى جمهور عرب الشعارات، وفي مثل هذه المعارك لا يجب أن يُمنح العدو الفرصة لبث رسائله العدائية الكاذبة للتأثير في الرأي العام الوطني !
Many Arabic media platforms have delivered a lackluster performance during this war, especially regarding analysis. The talk shows that are supposed to host experts providing objective and professional opinions on the course of the war have turned into “bird squawking” programs between opposing sides expressing whims and wishes rather than analyses and facts. They resembled sports programs where club fans compete just as their teams do on the fields!
What is striking about the Gulf news networks is that they have given the Iranian side ample space to justify Iranian aggressions and present the Iranian regime’s perspective, while Iranian media, in contrast, did not allow any opposing viewpoints to the Iranian narrative in order to control public opinion trends. In fact, one famous Gulf channel seemed to represent the Iranian regime’s viewpoint in this war, at a time when Gulf countries were being subjected to wrongful attacks by Iranian missiles and drones, and their fighter jets were intercepting and shooting down attacking Iranian aircraft over the sea!
This naive media idealism is unsuitable in conflict zones where the countries owning the media are parties involved. Moreover, hosting individuals who polish the image of the aggressor and justify its attacks on Arab Gulf states that did not participate in the war was provocative and a sign of clumsy professionalism in a time where there is no room for idealism. Instead, Iranian opponents representing the interests of the Iranian people yearning for freedom and liberation from this regime should have participated!
The presence of representatives of the Iranian narrative in some news bulletins and programs of Gulf and Arab television networks has contributed to feeding Iranian justifications and provided an opportunity to improve the enemy’s image among the Arab audience of slogans. In such battles, the enemy should not be given the chance to broadcast its false hostile messages to influence national public opinion!
