تحتفظ دارة الملك عبدالعزيز بعددٍ من الوثائق التاريخية التي تعود إلى عهود ملوك المملكة العربية السعودية: الملك سعود بن عبدالعزيز، والملك فيصل بن عبدالعزيز، والملك خالد بن عبدالعزيز، والملك فهد بن عبدالعزيز -رحمهم الله- وتتصل بمناسبة العيد، وما ارتبط بها من مراسلات وبرقيات رسمية، تُبرز حضور هذه المناسبة في الخطاب الإداري للدولة عبر مراحل مختلفة من تاريخها.
وتتضمن الوثائق نماذج من البرقيات والمخاطبات الرسمية التي تبادلها الملوك مع عدد من الأمراء والمسؤولين؛ من بينها برقية تهنئة من الملك سعود إلى أمير القويعية، وبرقية شكر من الملك فيصل إلى عبدالمحسن بن عبدالله بن جلوي على تهنئته بعيد الفطر، إضافة إلى برقية من الملك خالد إلى أمير الأفلاج تقديراً لتهنئته بالمناسبة، وكذلك برقية من الملك فهد إلى أمير السليل يشكره فيها على تهنئته بالعيد.
وتعكس هذه الوثائق جانباً من تقاليد المراسلات الرسمية في المناسبات الدينية، وما اتسمت به من صيغ التهنئة والتقدير، بما يبرز مكانة الأعياد في الحياة الاجتماعية والرسمية، ويكشف في الوقت ذاته أساليب التوثيق، والمكاتبات الإدارية التي رافقت العمل الحكومي في تلك الفترات.
وتأتي هذه الوثائق ضمن المقتنيات الوثائقية لدارة الملك عبدالعزيز، التي تعمل على جمع مصادر التاريخ الوطني وحفظها، وفق أسس علمية، وإتاحتها للباحثين والمهتمين، وتعزيز حضور الوثيقة التاريخية بوصفها مصدراً أصيلاً لدراسة تاريخ المملكة العربية السعودية.
The King Abdulaziz Foundation retains a number of historical documents that date back to the reigns of the kings of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: King Saud bin Abdulaziz, King Faisal bin Abdulaziz, King Khalid bin Abdulaziz, and King Fahd bin Abdulaziz – may God have mercy on them – related to the occasion of Eid, along with the official correspondence and telegrams associated with it, highlighting the presence of this occasion in the administrative discourse of the state through different stages of its history.
The documents include samples of the telegrams and official correspondence exchanged by the kings with several princes and officials; among them is a congratulatory telegram from King Saud to the Prince of Al-Qassim, a thank-you telegram from King Faisal to Abdul Mohsen bin Abdullah bin Jalawi for his Eid al-Fitr congratulations, in addition to a telegram from King Khalid to the Prince of Al-Aflaj in appreciation of his congratulations on the occasion, as well as a telegram from King Fahd to the Prince of Al-Sulayyil thanking him for his Eid greetings.
These documents reflect a part of the traditions of official correspondence during religious occasions, characterized by expressions of congratulations and appreciation, highlighting the significance of holidays in social and official life, while simultaneously revealing the methods of documentation and administrative correspondence that accompanied governmental work during those periods.
These documents are part of the archival collections of the King Abdulaziz Foundation, which works to gather and preserve sources of national history according to scientific principles, making them available to researchers and interested individuals, and enhancing the presence of historical documents as an original source for studying the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
