قال وزير الخارجية الصيني وانغ يي اليوم (السبت) إنه أبلغ نظيرَيه الألماني والفرنسي بأن بلاده ليست المسؤولة عن المشكلات التي تواجهها أوروبا ودعا إلى مزيد من التعاون، بحسب ما أفاد مكتبه.
وأفادت وزارة الخارجية الصينية أن وانغ يي التقى نظيرَيه الألماني يوهان فاديفول والفرنسي جان نويل بارو الجمعة على هامش مؤتمر ميونيخ للأمن جنوب ألمانيا.
وقال وانغ يي بحسب مكتبه: «إن الطرفين شريكان وليسا خصمين، والاعتماد المتبادل لا يشكّل خطرا، وتقارب المصالح لا يشكل تهديدا، والتعاون المفتوح لن يضر بالأمن».
وأضاف أن «تطور الصين يمثل فرصة لأوروبا، والصعوبات التي تواجهها أوروبا لا تأتي من الصين».
وسعى وانغ إلى الترويج للصين كشريك موثوق للاتحاد الأوروبي فيما تحاول بروكسل تقليل اعتمادها على كل من الصين والولايات المتحدة.
ويشعر الاتحاد الأوروبي بالقلق إزاء اتساع العجز التجاري مع الصين، وإغراق الأخيرة السوق الأوروبية ببضائعها نتيجة فوائض إنتاجها والقيود التجارية مع الولايات المتحدة، وكذلك إزاء تعزيز الصين علاقاتها مع روسيا التي تخوض حربا في أوكرانيا.
وقال وانغ يي إنه يأمل بأن «تتبع أوروبا سياسة عقلانية وبراغماتية تجاه الصين».
واجتمع وانغ بشكل منفصل مع فاديفول ونظيرته البريطانية إيفيت كوبر. وأشاد بالتعاون الاقتصادي والتجاري باعتباره «حجر الزاوية في العلاقات الصينية الألمانية»، وقال إن على بكين ولندن «استكشاف إمكانات تعزيز التعاون»، وناقش الوزير مع كوبر أيضا ملفي أوكرانيا وإيران وفق ما ذكر مكتبه.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said today (Saturday) that he informed his German and French counterparts that his country is not responsible for the problems facing Europe and called for more cooperation, according to his office.
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Wang Yi met with his German counterpart Johann Wadephul and French counterpart Jean-Noël Barrot on Friday on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference in southern Germany.
Wang Yi stated, according to his office: “The two sides are partners, not adversaries, and mutual dependence does not pose a risk, convergence of interests does not constitute a threat, and open cooperation will not harm security.”
He added that “China’s development represents an opportunity for Europe, and the difficulties facing Europe do not come from China.”
Wang sought to promote China as a reliable partner for the European Union as Brussels attempts to reduce its dependence on both China and the United States.
The European Union is concerned about the widening trade deficit with China, as the latter floods the European market with its goods due to its production surpluses and trade restrictions with the United States, as well as China’s strengthening of its relations with Russia, which is waging war in Ukraine.
Wang Yi expressed hope that “Europe will adopt a rational and pragmatic policy towards China.”
Wang separately met with Wadephul and his British counterpart Yvette Cooper. He praised economic and trade cooperation as “the cornerstone of Chinese-German relations,” and stated that Beijing and London should “explore the potential for enhancing cooperation.” The minister also discussed the issues of Ukraine and Iran with Cooper, according to his office.
