التقى وزير الدفاع الأمير خالد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز في الرياض، قائد قوات الدفاع قائد الجيش الباكستاني المشير عاصم منير.
وجرى خلال اللقاء، بحث الاعتداءات الإيرانية على المملكة في إطار اتفاقية الدفاع الإستراتيجي المشترك بين البلدين، إضافة إلى مناقشة السبل الكفيلة بوقف هذه الاعتداءات التي لا تخدم أمن المنطقة ولا استقرارها.
وأعرب الجانبان عن أملهما في أن تغلّب إيران الحكمة وصوت العقل، وأن تبتعد عن الحسابات الخاطئة التي تهدد الأمن الإقليمي.
حضر اللقاء رئيس هيئة الأركان العامة الفريق الأول الركن فيّاض حامد الرويلي، ومستشار وزير الدفاع لشؤون الاستخبارات هشام عبدالعزيز سيف، فيما حضره من الجانب الباكستاني سكرتير قائد قوات الدفاع قائد الجيش اللواء محمد جواد طارق.
Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met in Riyadh with the Chief of Defense Forces and Chief of the Pakistani Army, General Asim Munir.
During the meeting, they discussed the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom within the framework of the strategic defense agreement between the two countries, in addition to discussing ways to stop these attacks that do not serve the security and stability of the region.
Both sides expressed hope that Iran would prioritize wisdom and reason, and steer away from the miscalculations that threaten regional security.
The meeting was attended by Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Fayyad Hamed Al-Ruwaili, and the Minister of Defense’s Advisor for Intelligence Affairs, Hisham Abdulaziz Saif, while the Pakistani side was represented by the Secretary of the Chief of Defense Forces, Major General Muhammad Jawad Tariq.
