مؤخراً كانت أعلى المقاطع تداولاً بالعالم العربي مقاطع لتحرش بالنساء، ومعها تصريحات صادمة لشخصيات تلوم الضحايا وتجعل النساء مستباحات بحجة لباسهن، وهذه التصريحات جزء من المشكلة؛ والمقاطع المتداولة للتحرش تضمّنت تحرشاً بمنقبات، والشيخ أبوإسحاق الحويني الذي يوجب النقاب قال ببرنامجه؛ الرجال أخبروه «النقاب يفتنهم أكثر من المتبرجة لأنهم يتصورون المنتقبة كما يشتهون بخيالاتهم الجنسية»، وبمقطع شهير بتيك توك لأمريكية سوداء تعيش بمصر قالت إنها «خلعت النقاب لأن التحرش زاد بعد ارتدائها النقاب وخف عندما نزعته»، وبتعليقات مقطعها أجمعت مصريات على أنهن خلعن النقاب لتقليل التحرش، والدراسات على التحرش بالعالم العربي أظهرت أن سببه ليس ملابس النساء ولا الشهوة إنما مشاكل بالرجال أنفسهم والثقافة؛ فحسب الدراسة The relationships of sexually فالمتحرشون مصابون بأربع صفات مرضية، حيث يتصفون بالسيكوباتية والنرجسية والميكيافيلية والسادية-السيكوباتية: انعدام الضمير وعدم الشعور بالآخرين. النرجسية: الإعجاب المفرط بالذات. الميكيافيلية: استحلال الوسائل اللاأخلاقية لتحقيق الغاية. السادية: الاستمتاع بالتسبب بالمعاناة للآخرين-والدراسة Psychological Predictors of Sexual Harassment تشير إلى أن فرض السيطرة والنظرة العنصرية للنساء سبب التحرش، وبأكبر دراسة للأمم المتحدة على التحرش بالبلدان العربية Understanding Masculinities: Results from the International Men and Gender Equality Survey (IMAGES)–Middle East and North Africa نسبة التحرش 64% وهي من الأعلى عالمياً والسبب الرئيسي للتحرش هو؛ التسلية، وكلما ارتفع مستوى تعليم الرجال كانوا أكثر ممارسة للتحرش، والسبب؛ الفئة المتعلمة يتضخم لديهم غرور النفس بينما يعانون غالباً من البطالة الأمر الذي يشعرهم بشعور دوني؛ فنصفهم قالوا إنهم يشعرون بالخزي أمام عوائلهم لفشلهم بالحصول على وظائف؛ ولذا يحاولون الشعور بالقوة الوهمية والفوقية الوهمية بالمكانة عبر إهانة/إذلال النساء بالتحرش لوضعهن بمكانة دونية ويرون أنه حقهم، 90% قالوا سبب تحرشهم؛ التسلية وتوثيق علاقتهم بأصحابهم بالتشارك بالتحرش، بينما النساء يعتبرن التحرش صادماً لدرجة تتطلب علاجاً نفسياً ومرعباً ومرفوضاً ويؤثر سلباً على نوعية حياتهن والبعض انتحرن بسببه ويهدد سلامتهن؛ فكثير من المتحرشين يردون بعنف عندما ترفض النساء التحرش وحصلت حالات كانت الفتاة مع محرمها وتعرض للعنف والقتل لتصديه للتحرش، وبدراسة للأمم المتحدة Study on Ways and Methods to Eliminate Sexual Harassment in Egypt؛ 99.3% من الإناث بمصر تعرضن للتحرش، 96.5% التحرش جسدي، وهي النسبة الأعلى بالعالم، تليها أفغانستان فنسبة التحرش فيها 93% رغم التغطية الكاملة للنساء، وحتى الرجال المتزوجون والمسنون يتحرشون! ومصر فيها إحدى أعلى النسب العالمية بالحجاب، وغالب التحرش بالغرب يقوم به المهاجرون وهذا سبب المظاهرات ضدهم، فلماذا الرجال الغربيون قادرون على ضبط غرائزهم؟ بينما غيرهم لا؟ والأسباب المشجعة للتحرش حسب الدراسة؛ لوم الضحية، مشاهدة الإباحية، غياب العقوبات الرادعة، عدم استنكار الحضور للتحرش، التسلية، فرض السيطرة الذكورية كإثبات للذكورة، ثقافة عدم احترام خصوصية المرأة، البطالة. وانتشر ترند ظهر فيه أصحاب الحيوانات الأليفة وقد وضعوا أمام حيواناتهم أشهى الأطعمة ودون إذن لم يتجرأ حيوان على تناول الطعام الذي يشتهيه والرسالة؛ الرجال لا يمكن أن تكون سيطرتهم على غرائزهم أقل من الحيوانات. وهناك مقطع متداول لمسلسل صيني يتعرّض البطل لسحر يجبره على الاعتداء على امرأة وعندما لم يستطع وقف تأثير السحر قام بطعن نفسه لمنع نفسه عن الاعتداء، والرسالة؛ الرجل ملزم بضبط نفسه بأي ثمن، هذه الثقافة الأخلاقية الصحيحة.

Recently, the most shared clips in the Arab world were those of harassment against women, accompanied by shocking statements from figures blaming the victims and making women vulnerable under the pretext of their clothing. These statements are part of the problem; the circulated clips of harassment included harassment of women in niqabs, and Sheikh Abu Ishaq al-Hawini, who mandates the niqab, stated in his program that men told him, “The niqab seduces them more than unveiled women because they imagine the veiled woman as they desire in their sexual fantasies.” In a famous TikTok clip, a Black American woman living in Egypt said she “removed the niqab because harassment increased after she wore it and decreased when she took it off.” In the comments on her clip, Egyptian women agreed that they removed the niqab to reduce harassment. Studies on harassment in the Arab world have shown that its cause is not women’s clothing or lust but rather issues with men themselves and the culture; according to the study “The Relationships of Sexually,” harassers possess four pathological traits: psychopathy, narcissism, Machiavellianism, and sadistic-psychopathy: lack of conscience and inability to feel for others. Narcissism: excessive self-admiration. Machiavellianism: justifying unethical means to achieve an end. Sadism: enjoyment in causing suffering to others. The study “Psychological Predictors of Sexual Harassment” indicates that the imposition of control and a racist view of women are causes of harassment. In the largest UN study on harassment in Arab countries, “Understanding Masculinities: Results from the International Men and Gender Equality Survey (IMAGES) – Middle East and North Africa,” the harassment rate is 64%, one of the highest globally, and the main reason for harassment is entertainment. The higher the education level of men, the more they engage in harassment; the reason is that educated individuals often suffer from unemployment, which makes them feel inferior. Half of them said they feel ashamed in front of their families for failing to secure jobs; thus, they try to feel a false sense of power and superiority by humiliating women through harassment to place them in a subordinate position, seeing it as their right. 90% said the reason for their harassment was entertainment and to bond with their friends through shared harassment experiences, while women consider harassment to be shocking to the extent that it requires psychological treatment, terrifying, and unacceptable, negatively affecting their quality of life. Some have even committed suicide because of it, and it threatens their safety; many harassers respond violently when women reject their harassment, and there have been cases where a girl was with her male guardian and faced violence and even murder for resisting harassment. In a UN study titled “Study on Ways and Methods to Eliminate Sexual Harassment in Egypt,” 99.3% of females in Egypt reported experiencing harassment, with 96.5% experiencing physical harassment, the highest rate in the world, followed by Afghanistan, where the harassment rate is 93% despite the complete covering of women. Even married and elderly men engage in harassment! Egypt has one of the highest global rates of veiling, and most harassment in the West is perpetrated by immigrants, which is why there are protests against them. So why are Western men able to control their urges? While others cannot? The encouraging factors for harassment according to the study include victim-blaming, watching pornography, lack of deterrent punishments, the absence of condemnation from bystanders regarding harassment, entertainment, the imposition of male control as a proof of masculinity, a culture of disrespecting women’s privacy, and unemployment. A trend emerged showing pet owners placing delicious food in front of their animals, and without permission, no animal dared to eat the food it desired, sending the message that men’s control over their urges cannot be less than that of animals. There is also a circulating clip from a Chinese series where the hero is subjected to magic that forces him to assault a woman, and when he could not stop the influence of the magic, he stabbed himself to prevent himself from assaulting her, sending the message that a man is obligated to control himself at any cost; this is the correct moral culture.
