Throughout his journalistic career, he worked at the newspaper “Okaz,” presenting two columns titled “Faces of Good” and “Unbelievable,” which garnered readers’ interest for celebrating the bright aspects of society and providing a calm critical reflection on daily paradoxes in a graceful language that leans towards clarity rather than embellishment.
He also presented various social articles that reflected his social sensitivity and balanced view of life, solidifying his presence as a writer who sees the word as a moral responsibility before it is a space for opinion.
With the passing of Ahmed Maki, the journalistic community lost a human voice that remained faithful to its message until the end of the road. However, the impact he left in the hearts of readers remains a testament to an experience that believed that closeness to people is the shortest path to permanence, and that sincere writing can, with complete calmness, outlive its authors.
