أعلنت الشراكة العالمية للذكاء الاصطناعي التي تعمل تحت مظلة منظمة التعاون الاقتصادي والتنمية، انضمام المملكة العربية السعودية رسميًا بوصفها عضوًا في الشراكة، في خطوة تعكس مكانة المملكة المتقدمة كلاعب محوري في مسيرة البيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي العالمي، وتعزيز دورها الريادي في صياغة مستقبل هذه التقنيات المتقدمة على المستوى الدولي.
وتمثل المملكة في هذه الشراكة الهيئة السعودية للبيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي «سدايا»، وذلك امتدادًا للدعم المتواصل والمستمر الذي تحظى به من ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء رئيس مجلس إدارة «سدايا» الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، لتضطلع بدورها في ترسيخ مكانة المملكة بوصفها مرجعًا عالميًا في حوكمة وتنظيم وتطوير تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي.
وتُعد الشراكة العالمية للذكاء الاصطناعي إحدى المبادرات المنبثقة عن قمة مجموعة السبع، وتهدف إلى دعم الاستخدام المسؤول والأخلاقي للذكاء الاصطناعي، وتعزيز التعاون الدولي لسد الفجوة بين الجوانب النظرية والتطبيقات العملية.
وتجمع الشراكة 46 دولة يمثلها فيها الخبراء الرائدون من المجتمع المدني والحكومات والصناعات والأكاديميون لسد الفجوة بين البعد النظري والبعد التطبيقي في مجال الذكاء الاصطناعي، بالإضافة إلى دعم أنشطة البحث والتطوير المرتبطة بأولويات الذكاء الاصطناعي، وتعد منصة عالمية ومرجعًا دوليًا لأبرز القضايا المتعلقة به، وتتبنى تعزيز الثقـة في استخدامات الذكاء الاصطناعي.
ويُتوقع أن يسهم هذا الانضمام في تعزيز ثقة المجتمع التقني العالمي بالبيئة التنظيمية في المملكة، وجذب الاستثمارات النوعية والشركات التقنية الكبرى ورواد الأعمال، إضافة إلى دعم جهود الدولة في توطين التقنيات المتقدمة وزيادة مساهمة الاقتصاد الرقمي في الناتج المحلي الإجمالي، تماشيًا مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030.
وتتيح عضوية المملكة في (GPAI) فرصة للمشاركة الفاعلة في الحوارات الدولية المؤثرة، والمساهمة في صياغة المعايير والسياسات المنظمة للتقنيات الحديثة، إلى جانب تبادل الخبرات مع الدول الأعضاء والخبراء من الحكومات والصناعات والأوساط الأكاديمية، بما يعزز حضور المملكة في صناعة القرار التقني العالمي.
The Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence, operating under the auspices of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, has officially announced the accession of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a member of the partnership. This step reflects the Kingdom’s advanced position as a pivotal player in the global data and artificial intelligence landscape and enhances its leading role in shaping the future of these advanced technologies at the international level.
The Kingdom is represented in this partnership by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), which continues to receive ongoing support from the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Board of SDAIA, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. This support enables the authority to play its role in establishing the Kingdom’s position as a global reference in the governance, regulation, and development of artificial intelligence technologies.
The Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence is one of the initiatives stemming from the G7 summit, aiming to support the responsible and ethical use of artificial intelligence and to enhance international cooperation to bridge the gap between theoretical aspects and practical applications.
The partnership brings together 46 countries represented by leading experts from civil society, governments, industries, and academia to close the gap between the theoretical and practical dimensions of artificial intelligence. It also supports research and development activities related to artificial intelligence priorities, serving as a global platform and international reference for key issues related to it, while promoting trust in the uses of artificial intelligence.
This accession is expected to enhance the global tech community’s confidence in the regulatory environment in the Kingdom, attract quality investments, major tech companies, and entrepreneurs, as well as support the state’s efforts in localizing advanced technologies and increasing the contribution of the digital economy to the GDP, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The Kingdom’s membership in the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) provides an opportunity for active participation in influential international dialogues and contributes to shaping the standards and policies governing modern technologies, alongside exchanging experiences with member countries and experts from governments, industries, and academia, thereby enhancing the Kingdom’s presence in global tech decision-making.
