بعد نحو 24 ساعة على استقبال الرئيس الأوغندي يوري موسيفيني قائد قوات الدعم السريع محمد حمدان دقلو”حميدتي” في قصر الرئاسة بمدينة عنتيبي جنوب غربي العاصمة كامبالا، أدانت وزارة الخارجية السودانية اليوم (الأحد) هذا الاستقبال.
واعتبرت الوزارة في بيان أن «الاحتفاء الذي استقبل به حميدتي من قبل الحكومة الأوغندية يستهزئ بالضحايا». وأكدت أن «استقبال حميدتي في أوغندا يسيء للإنسانية والشعب السوداني».
واستنكرت وزارة الخارجية اللقاء الذي جمع حميدتي مع الرئيس الأوغندي، معربة عن أملها «بعدم السماح لحميدتي باستغلال أراضي أوغندا من أجل استمرار انتهاكاته».
واعترف قائد الدعم السريع خلال لقائه مع عدد من السودانيين في أوغندا، قبل يومين، بمشاركة مرتزقة كولومبيين في القتال إلى جانب قوّاته داخل السودان، لافتاً إلى أنهم مسؤولون عن سلاح المُسيّرات.
وأثار هذا الاعتراف، الذي انتشر في تسجيل صوتي على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، انتقادات العديد من السودانيين.
في غضون ذلك، تتواصل المساعي الأممية من أجل وقف الحرب المستمرة بين الجيش والدعم السريع منذ أبريل 2023. ورحبت وكيلة الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة للشؤون الإنسانية روزماري ديكارلو بالتقدم المحرز في مبادرة اللجنة الرباعية لتأمين هدنة إنسانية في السودان.
ودعت قبل يومين المسؤولة الأممية طرفي النزاع إلى المشاركة بحسن نية، ودون شروط مسبقة، من أجل تهدئة التصعيد ووقف إطلاق النار.
About 24 hours after Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni received Rapid Support Forces leader Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo “Hemedti” at the presidential palace in Entebbe, southwest of the capital Kampala, the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned this reception today (Sunday).
The ministry stated in a statement that “the celebration with which Hemedti was received by the Ugandan government mocks the victims.” It affirmed that “Hemedti’s reception in Uganda is an affront to humanity and the Sudanese people.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the meeting between Hemedti and the Ugandan president, expressing hope “that Hemedti will not be allowed to exploit Ugandan territory to continue his violations.”
During a meeting with a number of Sudanese in Uganda two days ago, the Rapid Support Forces leader acknowledged the participation of Colombian mercenaries fighting alongside his forces inside Sudan, noting that they are responsible for drone weaponry.
This acknowledgment, which spread in an audio recording on social media, drew criticism from many Sudanese.
Meanwhile, UN efforts continue to halt the ongoing war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces since April 2023. UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo welcomed the progress made in the Quadruple Committee’s initiative to secure a humanitarian ceasefire in Sudan.
Two days ago, the UN official urged both parties to the conflict to engage in good faith, without preconditions, to de-escalate tensions and achieve a ceasefire.
