أعلن وزير الخارجية العُماني، بدر البوسعيدي، اليوم (الأحد)، عقد جولة مباحثات جديدة بين أمريكا وإيران في جنيف الخميس القادم، مؤكداً وجود نية إيجابية للتوصل إلى صيغة نهائية للاتفاق.
وكتب البوسعيدي على منصة «إكس»: «يسرّني أن أؤكد أن المفاوضات بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران قد تم تحديدها الآن في جنيف يوم الخميس القادم»، مضيفاً: «هناك نية إيجابية لبذل جهد إضافي من أجل التوصل إلى صيغة نهائية للاتفاق».
اشتراطات أمريكية
وكان مسؤول أمريكي رفيع المستوى، قد قال إن المفاوضين الأمريكيين مستعدون لعقد جولة جديدة من المحادثات مع إيران الجمعة في جنيف، إذا تلقت الولايات المتحدة مقترحاً مفصلاً من إيران بشأن الاتفاق النووي خلال الـ48 ساعة القادمة، وفق ما نقله موقع «أكسيوس».
بالمقابل، أكد وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي، لشبكة «سي بي إس»، أن هناك مساعي لتحريك التفاوض، متوقعاً أن يلتقي المبعوث الأمريكي ستيف ويتكوف في جنيف الخميس.
وقال عراقجي: وفد التفاوض الأمريكي على دراية بموقف طهران، ونحن على دراية بموقف واشنطن، وتبادلنا مخاوفنا بالفعل، وأعتقد أن التوصل إلى حل ممكن، لكنني لن أتفاوض عبر وسائل الإعلام، مبيناً أن إيران تعمل على مسودة اقتراح، وتسعى إلى أن تجعله شيئاً مناسباً للجانبين.
نص جديد للاتفاق
وأضاف: «أعتقد أنه عندما نجتمع، ربما الخميس القادم في جنيف، يمكننا العمل على هذه العناصر وإعداد نص جديد والتوصل إلى اتفاق سريع»، مشيراً إلى أنه «إذا هاجمتنا الولايات المتحدة، فهذا عمل عدواني، لكن لنا كل الحق في الدفاع عن أنفسنا، وما قد نفعله رداً على ذلك هو دفاع عن النفس، لذا فهو مبرر ومشروع».
من جهته، أكد الرئيس الإيراني مسعود بزشكيان اليوم أن أحدث جولات المفاوضات مع الولايات المتحدة أسفرت عن مؤشرات مشجعة، موضحاً في منشور على حسابه في «إكس» أنهم يواصلون متابعة التحركات الأمريكية عن كثب، وقد اتخذوا جميع الاستعدادات اللازمة لأي سيناريو محتمل.
تحقيق إيراني بأحداث يناير
وأعلن بزشكيان فتح تحقيق شامل في أحداث يناير داخل البلاد، مطالباً المسؤولين المعنيين بإضفاء الشفافية وإقناع الرأي العام في هذا الخصوص.
ونقلت وكالة «إرنا» عن بزشكيان دعوته للأشخاص أو المجموعات الذين بحوزتهم وثائق أو بيانات ذات صلة، إلى تقديمها لتوضيح أبعاد الموضوع.
وقال الرئيس الإيراني: «في حال ثبوت أي خطأ، سيتم التعامل معه وفق القانون»، مشدداً على ضرورة ضرورة الالتزام بمبادئ العدالة والكفاءة وفاعلية الإنفاق والجودة والاهتمام بالبيئة في جميع السياسات التي تنتهجها الحكومة”.
The Omani Foreign Minister, Badr al-Busaidi, announced today (Sunday) that a new round of talks between the U.S. and Iran will be held in Geneva next Thursday, confirming a positive intention to reach a final agreement.
Al-Busaidi wrote on the platform “X”: “I am pleased to confirm that negotiations between the United States and Iran have now been scheduled for next Thursday in Geneva,” adding, “There is a positive intention to make an additional effort to reach a final agreement.”
American Conditions
A senior U.S. official stated that American negotiators are ready to hold a new round of talks with Iran on Friday in Geneva, if the United States receives a detailed proposal from Iran regarding the nuclear agreement within the next 48 hours, according to what was reported by Axios.
In turn, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed to CBS that there are efforts to revive the negotiations, expecting to meet with U.S. envoy Steve Biegun in Geneva on Thursday.
Araghchi said: “The U.S. negotiating team is aware of Tehran’s position, and we are aware of Washington’s position. We have already exchanged our concerns, and I believe that reaching a solution is possible, but I will not negotiate through the media,” indicating that Iran is working on a draft proposal and is seeking to make it something suitable for both sides.
New Text for the Agreement
He added: “I believe that when we meet, perhaps next Thursday in Geneva, we can work on these elements, prepare a new text, and reach a quick agreement,” pointing out that “if the United States attacks us, that is an aggressive act, but we have every right to defend ourselves, and what we may do in response is self-defense, so it is justified and legitimate.”
For his part, Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian confirmed today that the latest rounds of negotiations with the United States have resulted in encouraging signs, explaining in a post on his account on “X” that they continue to closely monitor U.S. movements and have made all necessary preparations for any potential scenario.
Iranian Investigation into January Events
Bezhakian announced the opening of a comprehensive investigation into the events of January within the country, calling on the relevant officials to ensure transparency and to convince public opinion in this regard.
The IRNA news agency reported Bezhakian’s call for individuals or groups in possession of documents or relevant data to submit them to clarify the dimensions of the issue.
The Iranian president stated: “If any wrongdoing is proven, it will be dealt with according to the law,” emphasizing the necessity of adhering to the principles of justice, efficiency, effective spending, quality, and environmental consideration in all policies pursued by the government.”
