يلتقي فريق «حرس الحدود» بمنطقة مكة المكرمة نظيره «القوات الخاصة للأمن البيئي» في المباراة ما قبل الأخيرة من منافسات دور الـ8 لبطولة (جدة 2026) لكرة القدم، التي ستنطلق عند الساعة 11:00 مساء غد الأربعاء، على ملعب القرية الأولمبية، حيث يرفع الفريقان شعار (الفوز فقط) محركاً أساسياً لهما لبلوغ دور الـ4.
«الحرس» تأهل بجدارة بعد تجاوزه فريق «الدوريات الأمنية» بمحافظة جدة بنتيجة (3-1)، ويطمح إلى مواصلة تفوقه، فيما يمتلك «الأمن البيئي» هجوماً كاسحاً حقق به رقماً قياسياً بانتصاره بنتيجة ثقيلة (6-0) على فريق شركة «أرامكو» السعودية، مما يجعله مرشحاً قوياً للفوز.
وفي المباراة الثانية التي يترقبها الجميع بفارغ الصبر حين يصطدم فريق «الرسوخ» بنظيره «التعاون» في ديربي أبناء مدينة جدة ضمن ختام الدور نفسه في مواجهة من العيار الثقيل والتي تنطلق في الساعة 12:50 فجر يوم الخميس، على ملعب القرية الأولمبية، إذ تصدر الرسوخ المجموعة (G) بالعلامة الكاملة (6 نقاط)، فيما حل التعاون وصيفاً بـ3 نقاط، حيث نجح الأول في الفوز على الثاني بنتيجة (1-0) في الجولة الثانية من البطولة.
من جهته، نجح «التعاون» في الفوز على «الرسوخ» والتتويج بطلاً لبطولة كأس جدة لعام 2024، فيما حل الرسوخ وصيفًا.
وكان «التعاون» قد تأهل لهذا الدور بعد انتصاره بركلات الترجيح (5-4) على فريق «العربي» من جدة، بدوره تأهل الرسوخ عقب فوزه بنتيجة (3-0) بقرار من لجنة الانضباط بعد احتجاجه على فريق «الوداد الطائفي» بسبب مشاركة اللاعب المحترف عبدالرحمن الجمعان مع الأخير، وهو ما يخالف أنظمة رابطة الهواة ولوائح البطولة التي تمنع مشاركة اللاعبين المحترفين مع الفرق المشاركة.
يُذكر أن الفائزين سيلتقيان في دور الـ4، وذلك يوم الجمعة القادم الموافق 27 فبراير على الملعب (الرديف) بمدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية؛ ضمن ثاني أيام مواجهات الجهات الحكومية مع فرق الهواة المشاركة في البطولة.
The “Border Guard” team from the Makkah region will meet its counterpart, the “Special Forces for Environmental Security,” in the penultimate match of the quarter-finals of the (Jeddah 2026) football tournament, which will kick off at 11:00 PM tomorrow, Wednesday, at the Olympic Village Stadium. Both teams are raising the banner of (victory only) as a primary motivation to reach the semi-finals.
The “Border Guard” qualified with merit after defeating the “Security Patrols” team in Jeddah with a score of (3-1), and they aspire to continue their dominance, while the “Environmental Security” team boasts a powerful attack that achieved a record by winning with a heavy score of (6-0) against the Saudi Aramco team, making them a strong contender for victory.
In the second match that everyone is eagerly awaiting, the “Rasukh” team will clash with its counterpart “Taawun” in the Jeddah city derby as part of the conclusion of the same round in a heavyweight encounter that will start at 12:50 AM on Thursday at the Olympic Village Stadium. Rasukh topped Group (G) with a perfect score of (6 points), while Taawun came in second with 3 points, as the former succeeded in defeating the latter with a score of (1-0) in the second round of the tournament.
For its part, Taawun succeeded in defeating Rasukh and was crowned champion of the Jeddah Cup 2024, while Rasukh finished as the runner-up.
Taawun qualified for this round after winning on penalties (5-4) against the “Al-Arabi” team from Jeddah, while Rasukh advanced after winning with a score of (3-0) by a decision from the Disciplinary Committee following their protest against the “Al-Wedad Al-Taifi” team due to the participation of the professional player Abdulrahman Al-Jumaan with the latter, which violates the amateur association’s regulations and the tournament’s rules that prohibit the participation of professional players with the competing teams.
It is worth mentioning that the winners will meet in the semi-finals on Friday, February 27, at the (Reserve) stadium in King Abdullah Sports City, as part of the second day of the government entities’ matches against the participating amateur teams in the tournament.
