أعلنت وزارة الدفاع التركية، فجر الأربعاء، تحطم مقاتلة من طراز *إف-16* في ولاية باليكسير غربي البلاد، ما أسفر عن مصرع قائدها.
وذكرت الوزارة في بيان رسمي أن الاتصال اللاسلكي وبيانات التتبع فُقدت مع الطائرة بعد إقلاعها من قيادة القاعدة الجوية الرئيسية التاسعة في باليكسير عند الساعة 12:56 بعد منتصف الليل بالتوقيت المحلي (21:56 بتوقيت غرينتش مساء الثلاثاء).
إطلاق عمليات بحث عاجلة وتحديد موقع الحطام
وبحسب تقارير تركية بما في ذلك موقع (turkiyetoday) على الفور، باشرت فرق البحث والإنقاذ عمليات تمشيط واسعة، حيث تم لاحقًا تحديد موقع حطام الطائرة في منطقة الحادث، وأكدت الوزارة أن التحقيقات جارية للوقوف على أسباب التحطم.
وجاء في البيان: «استُشهد طيارنا البطل، وسيتم تحديد سبب الحادث عقب التحقيق الذي سيجريه فريق فحص الحوادث المختص»، معربةً عن تعازيها لأسرة الطيار وذويه.
الكشف عن هوية الطيار الشهيد
من جانبه، أعلن وزير الدفاع التركي يشار غولر أن الطيار هو الرائد في سلاح الجو إبراهيم بولات، مشيرًا إلى أنه توفي في 25 فبراير 2026 نتيجة تحطم الطائرة أثناء تنفيذ مهمة.
وقال غولر في رسالة تعزية:«استُشهد رفيق سلاحنا البطل إثر تحطم طائرتنا إف-16، ونسأل الله أن يتغمده بواسع رحمته».
تحقيق رسمي وقضائي في ملابسات الحادثة
بدوره، أعلن وزير العدل آكين غورلك أن مكتب المدعي العام في باليكسير فتح تحقيقًا رسميًا في الحادث، موضحًا أن المدعي العام ونائبه واثنين من أعضاء النيابة انتقلوا إلى موقع التحطم لمتابعة الإجراءات ميدانيًا.
كما أكد والي باليكسير إسماعيل أوست أوغلو أن الطائرة التابعة لسرب قيادة القاعدة الجوية الرئيسية التاسعة سقطت قرابة الساعة 12:50 بعد منتصف الليل خلال رحلة مهمة.
وأفادت وزارة الداخلية التركية بأنها تتابع التطورات عن كثب، وتعمل بتنسيق كامل مع الجهات المعنية، مؤكدة أن السبب النهائي للحادث سيتضح بعد انتهاء الفحوصات الفنية التي يجريها فريق التحقيق المختص.
من جهته، شدد نائب الرئيس جودت يلماز على أن الحادث سيخضع لـ«تحقيق دقيق على الصعيدين القضائي والإداري».
تعازي رسمية واسعة
وتوالت رسائل التعزية من كبار المسؤولين، بينهم رئيس البرلمان التركي نعمان كورتولموش، ونائب رئيس حزب العدالة والتنمية الحاكم إفكان آلا، حيث أعربوا عن حزنهم العميق لاستشهاد الطيار.
وقال كورتولموش في بيان: «نتقدم بخالص التعازي إلى طيارنا البطل الذي استُشهد، وإلى أسرته ومحبيه وشعبنا الكريم».
ولا تزال أسباب تحطم المقاتلة قيد التحقيق، في وقت تواصل فيه الجهات المختصة أعمالها لكشف ملابسات الحادث بدقة.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced early Wednesday that a fighter jet of the *F-16* model crashed in Balıkesir province in western Turkey, resulting in the death of its pilot.
The ministry stated in an official statement that radio contact and tracking data were lost with the aircraft after it took off from the 9th Main Air Base Command in Balıkesir at 12:56 AM local time (21:56 GMT on Tuesday evening).
Launch of Urgent Search Operations and Location of the Wreckage
According to Turkish reports, including the (turkiyetoday) website, search and rescue teams immediately began extensive search operations, and the wreckage of the aircraft was later located in the accident area. The ministry confirmed that investigations are ongoing to determine the causes of the crash.
The statement read: “Our heroic pilot has been martyred, and the cause of the accident will be determined following the investigation conducted by the specialized accident investigation team,” expressing condolences to the pilot’s family and loved ones.
Identification of the Martyr Pilot
For his part, Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler announced that the pilot was Major İbrahim Polat of the Air Force, noting that he died on February 25, 2026, as a result of the aircraft crash during a mission.
Güler stated in a condolence message: “Our heroic comrade in arms was martyred as a result of the crash of our F-16 aircraft, and we ask God to embrace him in His vast mercy.”
Official and Judicial Investigation into the Circumstances of the Incident
In turn, Justice Minister Bekir Bozdağ announced that the Balıkesir Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened an official investigation into the incident, explaining that the prosecutor and his deputy, along with two members of the prosecution, have moved to the crash site to follow up on the procedures on the ground.
Balıkesir Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu also confirmed that the aircraft belonging to the 9th Main Air Base Command squadron crashed around 12:50 AM during a mission flight.
The Turkish Ministry of Interior reported that it is closely monitoring developments and is working in full coordination with the relevant authorities, confirming that the final cause of the incident will be clarified after the completion of the technical examinations conducted by the specialized investigation team.
For his part, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz emphasized that the incident will be subject to a “thorough investigation on both judicial and administrative levels.”
Widespread Official Condolences
Messages of condolence poured in from senior officials, including Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş and Deputy Chairman of the ruling Justice and Development Party, Efkan Ala, who expressed their deep sorrow over the martyrdom of the pilot.
Kurtulmuş stated in a statement: “We extend our sincere condolences to our martyred pilot, his family, loved ones, and our noble people.”
The causes of the fighter jet crash are still under investigation, while the relevant authorities continue their work to accurately uncover the circumstances of the incident.
