مع احتدام الحرب بين إيران وإسرائيل وأمريكا، عزز الجيش السوري من وجوده على الحدود السورية اللبنانية والعراقية من أجل ضبط الحدود مع تصاعد الصراع.
وأفادت هيئة العمليات في الجيش السوري في بيان، اليوم الأربعاء، بأن الجيش عزز انتشاره على طول الحدود السورية مع لبنان والعراق.
وأكدت هيئة العمليات أن هذا التعزيز يأتي لحماية وضبط الحدود مع تصاعد الحرب الإقليمية الجارية. وأوضحت أن الوحدات المنتشرة تتبع لقوات حرس الحدود وكتائب استطلاع لمراقبة الأنشطة الحدودية ومكافحة التهريب.
من جانبها، أعلنت الهيئة العامة للمنافذ البرية والبحرية السورية إغلاق معبر جديدة يابوس الحدودي مع لبنان أمام المغادرين، بعد تلقيها تحذيراً من إسرائيل يفيد باحتمال استهداف القوات الإسرائيلية المعبر.
وأعلن مسؤول إعلامي في معبر جديدة يابوس أن المعبر سيظل مفتوحاً أمام القادمين ما دام تدفق السوريين من لبنان مستمراً.
وتشهد الحدود السورية اللبنانية حركة نزوح كبيرة تقدر بآلاف السوريين واللبنانيين باتجاه المنافذ الحدودية في محافظات ريف دمشق وحمص وطرطوس، هرباً من القصف الجوي الإسرائيلي الذي يطال الأراضي اللبنانية.
وكان «حزب الله» قد أطلق صواريخ على إسرائيل قبل أيام قليلة، وسط تنديد لبناني شعبي ورسمي بتوريط البلاد في حرب جديدة لا دخل له بها.
وردت إسرائيل على إطلاق الحزب بعشرات الصواريخ والمسيّرات، بغارات مكثفة على الجنوب اللبناني، فضلاً عن الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت.
وأعلنت الحكومة اللبنانية قراراً بحظر أنشطة الحزب العسكرية والأمنية، وسط نزوح ما يقارب 30 ألف لبناني من الجنوب والضاحية وفق تقديرات أممية أولية.

The operations authority confirmed that this reinforcement aims to protect and control the borders amid the ongoing regional war. It clarified that the deployed units belong to the border guard forces and reconnaissance battalions to monitor border activities and combat smuggling.
For its part, the Syrian General Authority for Land and Maritime Crossings announced the closure of the Jdeidet Yabous border crossing with Lebanon to outgoing travelers, after receiving a warning from Israel regarding the possibility of Israeli forces targeting the crossing.
An information official at the Jdeidet Yabous crossing announced that the crossing will remain open for incoming travelers as long as the flow of Syrians from Lebanon continues.
The Syrian-Lebanese border is witnessing a significant movement of displacement estimated at thousands of Syrians and Lebanese heading towards the border crossings in the Damascus countryside, Homs, and Tartus provinces, fleeing from the Israeli airstrikes that are hitting Lebanese territory.
Hezbollah had launched rockets at Israel a few days ago, amid popular and official Lebanese condemnation of involving the country in a new war that it has no part in.
