– الحديث عن الرمز الأمير عبدالرحمن بن سعود -رحمه الله- ذو شجون، وهو الذي أُثير اسمه مؤخراً في عدد من اللقاءات التلفزيونية بصفته أحد أبرز رجالات الرياضة السعودية، ورجلاً وطنياً أخلص في الدفاع عن وطنه، وامتلك كاريزما قيادية وشخصية استثنائية لا تتكرر.
– غادر الأمير عبدالرحمن بن سعود «دار الحق» قبل 22 عاماً إثر نوبة قلبية، وما زالت أعمال وأثر ذلك الرجل خالدة، وما فتئت أحاديثه ولقاءاته التلفزيونية تُنقل من وقت لآخر؛ فقد كان سابقاً لزمانه، وصوته يصل للجميع بصراحته المعهودة. هو العاشق والمحب لنادي النصر، الذي وضع لبنات القاعدة الجماهيرية الكبيرة للنادي في أرجاء الوطن والخليج.

– كلمته الشهيرة (النصر بمن حضر) لا تزال تتردد.. فمهما تعاقبت الإدارات أو رحل المدربون والنجوم، يظل النصر ركناً أساسياً من أركان الكرة السعودية. الأمير عبدالرحمن بن سعود ليس مجرد اسم عابر، بل كان صوتاً وطنياً في كل منبر، وكاتباً صحفياً من الطراز الأول.. إذ كانت الجماهير تترقب زاويته الشهيرة (بصراحة)، التي كانت دوماً مادة دسمة للنقاش والجدل الرياضي.
– كل الذين عاصروه، سواءً اتفقوا معه أو اختلفوا، يؤكدون أنه كان يملك قيماً ومبادئ راسخة لا يحيد عنها مهما كلف الأمر. والجيل الحالي، وإن لم يعاصره، فقد سمع عنه الكثير لأن صدى صوته لا يزال يتردد بين محبيه.
– تختزل الذاكرة الكثير عن سيرته، والمقال لا يتسع لذكر مآثر رجل كان أحد أركان الفترة الذهبية للرياضة السعودية. وعندما أشاهد النصر يبتعد عن البطولات في السنوات الأخيرة، أدرك حاجة النادي لرجل بقوة وشخصية الأمير عبدالرحمن، ورؤيته وحنكته التي كان الجميع يحسب لها ألف حساب؛ حيث لم يكن يعلو صوت فوق صوت «الكيان» مهما بلغ حجم نجومية اللاعب.
– رحم الله الأمير عبدالرحمن بن سعود، صاحب النهج الخاص في الإدارة والقيادة، والوطني الذي تميز بطابع فريد في الردود والتصريحات، والشاعر ذو الحس المرهف. حتى المذيعين الذين كانوا يحاورونه، كان لزاماً عليهم التحضير جيداً للقاء، وتوقع ردود غير متوقعة نتيجة صراحته المطلقة.
– تذكرتُ الأمير اليوم وهو الذي لم يغب عن الذاكرة أصلاً- حين استعدتُ ذكرياتي مع الزميل غانم القحطاني، مدير القنوات الرياضية السعودية خلال حوار تلفزيوني وذكرياته مع الأمير عبدالرحمن بن سعود، حيث التقينا في الكويت عام 2002 خلال بطولة كأس العرب. وقتها كان غانم صحفياً، وحدّثني كيف أن الأمير منعه من دخول النادي في فترة ما، لكنه سرعان ما عاد وسمح له بالتغطية؛ فقد كان رجلاً متسامحاً لا يحمل ضغينة مهما اشتد الاختلاف.
– رحم الله رمز النصر، الذي يظل اسمه محفوراً في أروقة النادي؛ لأنه ليس مجرد جزء من التاريخ، بل هو التاريخ ذاته لـ «العالمي».

No matter how many administrations come and go or how many coaches and stars leave, Al-Nassr remains a fundamental pillar of Saudi football. Prince Abdulrahman bin Saud is not just a passing name; he was a national voice on every platform and a first-class journalist.. The fans always awaited his famous column “Honestly,” which was always rich material for sports discussion and debate.
– All those who lived during his time, whether they agreed with him or disagreed, confirm that he possessed values and principles that he never strayed from, no matter the cost. The current generation, even if they did not experience his presence, has heard a lot about him because the echo of his voice still resonates among his admirers.
– Memory encapsulates much about his biography, and this article cannot accommodate the mention of the virtues of a man who was one of the cornerstones of the golden era of Saudi sports. When I see Al-Nassr drifting away from championships in recent years, I realize the club’s need for a man with the strength and personality of Prince Abdulrahman, and the vision and wisdom that everyone took into account; for no voice was louder than the voice of “the entity,” regardless of the player’s stardom.

At that time, Ghanem was a journalist, and he told me how the prince once prevented him from entering the club, but he quickly returned and allowed him to cover it; he was a forgiving man who held no grudges, no matter how intense the disagreement.
