أبلغ وزير الخارجية المصري بدر عبدالعاطي، رسميا نظيره الإيراني عباس عراقجي، رفض القاهرة وإدانتها لكافة الاعتداءات الإيرانية على دول الخليج العربي والأردن والعراق الشقيقة، فضلًا عن تركيا وأذربيجان.
ووفقا لبيان رسمي للخارجية المصرية شدد عبدالعاطي خلال اتصال هاتفي له مع عراقجي على خطورة الوضع في المنطقة وأهمية وقف اتساع رقعة الصراع في المنطقة خصوصا مع دول الجوار.
كما جدد الوزير عبد العاطي التأكيد على ضرورة العمل على سرعة وقف الاعتداءات الإيرانية واحترام مبدأ حسن الجوار وسيادة الدول، مشددا على ضرورة تغليب المسار الدبلوماسي ولغة الحوار كسبيل وحيد لاحتواء التوتر، وتجنيب المنطقة خطر الانزلاق إلى حالة من الفوضى الشاملة التي تهدد السلم والأمن الإقليميين.
جاء ذلك ضمن سلسلة اتصالات مكثفة أجراها وزير الخارجية المصري مع الأطراف الإقليمية والدولية في إطار الجهود الحثيثة التي تبذلها مصر لخفض التصعيد والدفع بالتهدئة في المنطقة، شملت اتصالات مع نائب رئيس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية الأردني أيمن الصفدي، ووزير الخارجية البحريني عبد اللطيف بن راشد الزياني.
وصرح المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية السفير تميم خلاف، أن عبد العاطي أكد في اتصالاته على ضرورة تضافر الجهود الإقليمية والدولية لخفض التصعيد وتغليب الحلول السياسية والاحتكام للحوار والدبلوماسية لاحتواء الموقف المتصاعد وعدم اتساع رقعة الصراع، محذرًا من خطورة اتساع دائرة العمليات العسكرية مما يضع أمن واستقرار المنطقة بأسرها أمام تحديات جسيمة.
وجدد التأكيد على ضرورة الدفع نحو تغليب مسارات التهدئة والدبلوماسية والحوار للحيلولة دون انجراف الإقليم نحو مواجهات أوسع، مشددًا على إدانة الاعتداءات على أمن وسيادة دول شقيقة وصديقة، وأنه لا يوجد أي مبرر أو ذريعة لهذه الاعتداءات.
وحذر عبدالعاطي من التداعيات الكارثية والخطيرة لاستمرار دائرة العنف واتساع نطاق الصراع بما يهدد السلم والأمن الإقليميين والدوليين، مشددا على أهمية تكثيف التنسيق الإقليمي والدولي للحفاظ على استقرار المنطقة وحماية أمن الملاحة الدولية.
The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, officially informed his Iranian counterpart, Abbas Araghchi, of Cairo’s rejection and condemnation of all Iranian attacks on the sisterly Gulf Arab states, Jordan, and Iraq, as well as Turkey and Azerbaijan.
According to an official statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Abdelatty emphasized during a phone call with Araghchi the seriousness of the situation in the region and the importance of stopping the expansion of conflict, especially with neighboring countries.
The minister also reiterated the necessity of working swiftly to halt Iranian aggressions and to respect the principle of good neighborliness and the sovereignty of states, stressing the need to prioritize diplomatic pathways and dialogue as the sole means to contain tensions and spare the region from the danger of slipping into a state of total chaos that threatens regional peace and security.
This came as part of a series of intensive communications that the Egyptian Foreign Minister conducted with regional and international parties as part of Egypt’s diligent efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote calm in the region, which included calls with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, and Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.
Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, stated that Abdelatty emphasized in his communications the necessity of concerted regional and international efforts to de-escalate tensions and prioritize political solutions, relying on dialogue and diplomacy to contain the escalating situation and prevent the expansion of conflict, warning of the dangers of widening military operations that pose serious challenges to the security and stability of the entire region.
He reiterated the need to push for prioritizing de-escalation, diplomacy, and dialogue to prevent the region from drifting towards broader confrontations, stressing the condemnation of attacks on the security and sovereignty of sisterly and friendly states, and that there is no justification or excuse for these aggressions.
Abdelatty warned of the catastrophic and dangerous repercussions of the continued cycle of violence and the expansion of conflict, which threatens regional and international peace and security, emphasizing the importance of intensifying regional and international coordination to maintain stability in the region and protect international navigation security.
