ارتفعت أسعار الذهب اليوم مدعومة بتراجع الدولار وانخفاض عوائد سندات الخزانة الأمريكية.
وصعد سعر الذهب في المعاملات الفورية 0.7% إلى 5112.34 دولارًا للأوقية (الأونصة)، لكن العقود الأمريكية الآجلة للذهب تسليم أبريل هبطت 0.2% إلى 5115.80 دولارًا.
وخسر المعدن النفيس واحدًا بالمئة حتى الآن هذا الأسبوع متأثرًا بتلاشي الآمال في خفض أسعار الفائدة الأمريكية على المدى القريب.
وانخفض الدولار قليلًا مما جعل السلع المقومة به مثل الذهب أرخص بالنسبة لحائزي العملات الأخرى.
وتراجعت عوائد سندات الخزانة الأمريكية لأجل 10 سنوات مما زاد من جاذبية الذهب الذي لا يدرّ عائدًا.
وفي المعادن النفيسة الأخرى، ارتفع سعر الفضة في المعاملات الفورية 1.5% إلى 85.03 دولارًا للأوقية. وصعد سعر البلاتين بالمعاملات الفورية 1.3% إلى 2159.01 دولارًا، وزاد سعر البلاديوم 0.8% إلى 1630.71 دولارًا.
Gold prices rose today, supported by a decline in the dollar and a drop in U.S. Treasury yields.
The price of gold in spot transactions increased by 0.7% to $5,112.34 per ounce, but U.S. gold futures for April delivery fell by 0.2% to $5,115.80.
The precious metal has lost one percent so far this week, affected by fading hopes for a near-term reduction in U.S. interest rates.
The dollar declined slightly, making dollar-denominated commodities like gold cheaper for holders of other currencies.
U.S. Treasury yields for 10-year bonds decreased, which increased the appeal of gold, which does not yield any returns.
In other precious metals, the price of silver in spot transactions rose by 1.5% to $85.03 per ounce. The price of platinum in spot transactions increased by 1.3% to $2,159.01, and the price of palladium rose by 0.8% to $1,630.71.
