أثار مسلسل «حي الجرادية» المعروض على قناة «إم بي سي دراما» نقاشاً نقدياً واسعاً حول حدود الجرأة في الدراما الاجتماعية، بعدما قدم معالجة مباشرة لقضية الخيانة الزوجية داخل الأسرة، وهو ما دفع بعض المتابعين إلى اعتبار العمل مثيراً للجدل أكثر من كونه معالجة فنية متوازنة لقضية اجتماعية حساسة.
الناقد سلمان المسدر يرى أن الإشكال في المسلسل لا يتعلق بطرح موضوع الخيانة بحد ذاته، إذ سبق أن تناولته أعمال درامية عدة، بل في الطريقة التي قُدمت بها المشاهد، مبيناً لـ«عكاظ» أن إدخال مشاهد وصفها بـ«الساخنة» دون مبررات درامية واضحة جعل العمل يبدو أقرب إلى الصدمة البصرية منه إلى المعالجة الفنية المتدرجة.
وفي المقابل، يربط الأخصائي الاجتماعي محمد الحمزة الجدل الدائر حول المسلسل بمفهوم «التطبيع التدريجي» في علم الاجتماع، موضحاً أن عرض تفاصيل دقيقة لسلوكيات نادرة قد يخلق لدى المشاهد انطباعاً مضللاً عن انتشارها في المجتمع، وهو ما قد ينعكس على الثقة داخل الأسرة.
ويشير الحمزة إلى أن الدراما قادرة على طرح المشكلات الاجتماعية بعمق وذكاء عبر الرمزية والإيحاء، دون الحاجة إلى مشاهد مباشرة قد تُفسَّر على أنها إثارة أو مبالغة في تصوير الاستثناءات.
وبين قراءة نقدية ترى في العمل تجاوزاً درامياً، وأخرى تعتبره محاولة لطرح قضية اجتماعية بجرأة، يبقى «حي الجرادية» نموذجاً للجدل الدائم حول دور الدراما بين التشخيص الفني للواقع وحدود المسؤولية الاجتماعية في تقديمه.
The series “Hay Al-Jaradiah,” aired on MBC Drama, has sparked a wide critical discussion about the limits of boldness in social drama, as it presented a direct treatment of the issue of marital infidelity within the family. This has led some viewers to consider the work more controversial than a balanced artistic treatment of a sensitive social issue.
Critic Salman Al-Masdar believes that the problem in the series does not relate to the topic of infidelity itself, as it has been addressed by several dramatic works before, but rather in the way the scenes were presented. He explained to “Okaz” that the inclusion of scenes he described as “hot” without clear dramatic justification made the work seem closer to visual shock than to a gradual artistic treatment.
On the other hand, social specialist Mohammed Al-Hamza links the ongoing debate about the series to the concept of “gradual normalization” in sociology, explaining that presenting detailed depictions of rare behaviors may create a misleading impression for viewers about their prevalence in society, which could affect trust within the family.
Al-Hamza points out that drama is capable of addressing social issues deeply and intelligently through symbolism and suggestion, without the need for direct scenes that may be interpreted as sensationalism or exaggeration in portraying exceptions.
Between a critical reading that sees the work as a dramatic transgression and another that considers it an attempt to boldly address a social issue, “Hay Al-Jaradiah” remains a model for the ongoing debate about the role of drama between the artistic depiction of reality and the limits of social responsibility in presenting it.
