فرض نادي هامبورغ عقوبة انضباطية وُصفت بـ”غير المسبوقة” على جناحه الفرنسي جان لوك دومبي، بعدما أُلزم بتوفير 10 آلاف سترة عاكسة للضوء والمساهمة في توزيعها على المدارس ومراكز رعاية الأطفال، وذلك ضمن إجراءات تأديبية إثر قيادته تحت تأثير الكحول.
وأكد متحدث باسم النادي، يوم الجمعة، صحة ما أوردته صحيفة بيلد بشأن الواقعة.
وتعود الحادثة إلى شهر يناير الماضي، حين تم توقيف اللاعب وهو يقود سيارته مخموراً، قبل أن تتفاقم المشكلة باتهامات إضافية بعد مغادرته مركز الشرطة مستخدماً مزلجة كهربائية.
ولم تقتصر العقوبات على الجانب المجتمعي، إذ فرض النادي أيضاً غرامة مالية كبيرة تجاوزت 100 ألف يورو، إلى جانب إيقافه لمباراتين. من جهته، قدّم دومبي اعتذاراً رسمياً، معترفاً بأن تصرفه كان غير مسؤول.
The Hamburg club imposed a disciplinary penalty described as “unprecedented” on its French winger Jean-Luc Domby, after he was required to provide 10,000 reflective vests and contribute to their distribution to schools and childcare centers, as part of disciplinary measures following his driving under the influence of alcohol.
A club spokesperson confirmed on Friday the accuracy of what was reported by Bild regarding the incident.
The incident dates back to last January when the player was stopped while driving his car under the influence, before the situation escalated with additional accusations after he left the police station using an electric scooter.
The penalties were not limited to the community aspect, as the club also imposed a hefty fine exceeding 100,000 euros, in addition to suspending him for two matches. For his part, Domby issued an official apology, admitting that his behavior was irresponsible.
