تُعد الخضرة واحدةً من الركائز الأساسية التي تنهض عليها إستراتيجيات المدن العالمية، فمن خلال الحدائق وتشجير الطرقات يُعاد صياغة المشهد الحضري، إلا أن الدور الحيوي للسكان وملّاك المنازل يظل هو الحلقة الأهم، عبر مبادرات نوعية، محوكمة، وذات تنظيم عالٍ.
فلم يعد مفهوم تطوير المدن في المملكة العربية السعودية اليوم مرهوناً باتساع الشوارع، وحداثة الواجهات الخرسانية فحسب، بل بات يُقاس بمدى قدرة هذه المدن على أن تكون بيئات «آدمية» صالحة للعيش، تحتضن الإنسان وتستجيب لاحتياجاته الصحية والنفسية والبيئية في تناغم تام.
ومن هذا المنطلق، تبرز مبادرة «شجرة لكل منزل» التي تسبقها الأماني بتبني وزارة البلديات والإسكان، وبمباركة ودعم من وزيرها ماجد بن عبدالله الحقيل، كخطوة إستراتيجية في مسار «أنسنة المدن». الميزة الفائقة في هذه المبادرة لا تكمن في فعل التشجير المجرد، بل في الانحياز الواعي لـ«أشجارنا الصحراوية» كنقطة انطلاق، فهذه الأشجار ليست مجرد كائنات حية تقاوم الجفاف، بل هي جزء أصيل من الهوية الوطنية، وهي الأكثر كفاءة في ترشيد المياه والأقدر على التكيّف مع المناخ القاسي، مما يجسّد فهماً عميقاً لمعادلة الاستدامة، والتي توازن بين تجميل المشهد الحضري، والمحافظة على الموارد الطبيعية.
وحين تُغرس هذه الشجرة أمام عتبة المنزل، فإنها تؤدي أدواراً تتجاوز حدود الظل والجمال، فهي رئة طبيعية ترفع مستويات الأكسجين، وتخفض درجات الحرارة، وتكبح جماح التلوث، فضلاً عن أثرها العميق في تعزيز الراحة النفسية للسكان. وبذلك، تتحوّل الشجرة من عنصر تجميلي إلى أداة تنموية مباشرة لرفع جودة الحياة، وهو أحد المستهدفات الجوهرية لرؤية السعودية 2030.
ويتجلى البعد الإستراتيجي لهذه المبادرة في تضامنها مع المشروع الوطني الأضخم الذي أطلقه ولي العهد الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، لزراعة 10 مليارات شجرة ضمن «مبادرة السعودية الخضراء»، حيث يتحوّل التشجير هنا من مشروع مركزي للدولة إلى ممارسة مجتمعية واعية تبدأ من فناء المنزل لتصب في مصلحة الوطن الكبرى.
إن هذا التحوّل الجذري يجسّد الدور المحوري لماجد الحقيل في إعادة تعريف القطاع العقاري، من منظومة خرسانية تقليدية إلى منظومة اقتصادية وبيئية متطورة ترتكز على الابتكار و«أنسنة الفراغات». فالدولة تضع الإطار وتوفر الممكنات، والمجتمع يشارك بالفعل ويضمن الاستدامة، لتتشكّل علاقة جديدة بين الإنسان وبيئته قائمة على المسؤولية والوعي.
وفي الختام، فإن أنسنة المدن لا تتحقّق بقرارات إدارية فحسب، بل بسلوكيات يومية تراكمية تصنع الفرق، فشجرة تُزرع أمام منزل قد تبدو فعلاً بسيطاً، لكنها في جوهرها لبنة أساسية في مشروع وطني عظيم يهدف إلى خلق مدن أكثر خضرة وحياة أكثر جودة. وتبقى الرسالة الأسمى هي تعزيز وعي المجتمع بأن «بيئتنا مسؤوليتنا»، فهل يحظى هذا المقترح بتبني الوزير الراقي ليكون منهجاً راسخاً في مدننا؟
Greenness is considered one of the essential pillars upon which global city strategies are built. Through parks and tree planting along roads, the urban landscape is reshaped. However, the vital role of residents and homeowners remains the most crucial link, through quality initiatives that are well-governed and highly organized.
Today, the concept of urban development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is no longer limited to the widening of streets and the modernity of concrete facades; it is now measured by the extent to which these cities can be “human” environments suitable for living, embracing people and responding to their health, psychological, and environmental needs in complete harmony.
From this perspective, the initiative “A Tree for Every Home” emerges, preceded by hopes for the adoption by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, with the blessing and support of its minister, Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hoqail, as a strategic step in the path of “humanizing cities.” The exceptional feature of this initiative lies not in the mere act of tree planting but in the conscious preference for “our desert trees” as a starting point. These trees are not just living organisms that resist drought; they are an integral part of national identity, the most efficient in water conservation, and the best adapted to harsh climates, embodying a deep understanding of the sustainability equation that balances beautifying the urban landscape with preserving natural resources.
When this tree is planted in front of a home, it performs roles that go beyond providing shade and beauty. It acts as a natural lung that raises oxygen levels, lowers temperatures, and curbs pollution, in addition to its profound impact on enhancing the psychological comfort of residents. Thus, the tree transforms from a decorative element into a direct developmental tool for improving quality of life, which is one of the core objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The strategic dimension of this initiative is reflected in its solidarity with the larger national project launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to plant 10 billion trees as part of the “Saudi Green Initiative,” where tree planting shifts from a central state project to a conscious community practice that begins in the home yard and serves the greater good of the nation.
This radical transformation embodies the pivotal role of Majid Al-Hoqail in redefining the real estate sector, from a traditional concrete system to an advanced economic and environmental system based on innovation and “humanizing spaces.” The state sets the framework and provides the possibilities, while the community actively participates and ensures sustainability, forming a new relationship between humans and their environment based on responsibility and awareness.
In conclusion, humanizing cities is not achieved solely through administrative decisions but through cumulative daily behaviors that make a difference.
