حسم الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم، اليوم (السبت)، الجدل الذي أثير حول مباراة المنتخب الوطني الودية أمام نظيره السعودي، التي أقيمت ليلة أمس (الجمعة) على ملعب «الإنماء» بمدينة جدة، وانتهت بفوز كبير لمصر برباعية نظيفة.
وقال الاتحاد المصري في بيان رسمي: إن مواجهة مصر والسعودية تم اعتمادها كـ«مباراة دولية» من قبل الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا)، بعد انطباق جميع الشروط عليها، بما في ذلك عدد التبديلات التي تم الاتفاق عليها خلال الاجتماع الفني قبل المباراة.
وأوضح البيان أن منتخب مصر حصل على 3.8 نقطة إضافية في التصنيف الدولي، ليصعد مركزين من المركز 31 إلى المركز 29 عالمياً.
وأشار الاتحاد إلى أن مجلس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (إيفاب) اعتمد تعديلات جديدة على قوانين المباريات الودية الدولية خلال اجتماعه السنوي أواخر فبراير الماضي في ويلز، ومن أبرز هذه التعديلات السماح بإجراء 11 تبديلاً في المباريات الودية الدولية، بشرط الاتفاق المسبق بين الفريقين.
وشهد الاجتماع حضور رئيس فيفا جياني إنفانتينو، ورئيس الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم هاني أبوريدة، في إطار مسؤولية إيفاب التاريخية عن مراجعة وتحديث قوانين اللعبة بما يواكب التطورات العالمية.
وجاءت المباراة بين المنتخبين السعودي والمصري ضمن استعدادات المنتخبين لنهائيات كأس العالم 2026، التي ستستضيفها الولايات المتحدة وكندا والمكسيك.
وكانت المباراة قد أثارت جدلاً بعد تصريحات عضو مجلس إدارة الاتحاد المصري مصطفى أبو زهرة، التي أشارت إلى أن الاتفاق على 11 تبديلاً قد يؤثر على احتسابها كمباراة دولية رسمية، مما يؤثر على نقاط التصنيف.
يُذكر أن السماح بزيادة عدد التبديلات في المباريات الودية يهدف إلى منح الفرصة لأكبر عدد من اللاعبين، وتقليل خطر الإرهاق والإصابات، خصوصاً في فترة التحضير للبطولات الكبرى، ويُعد هذا التعديل جزءاً من حزمة تغييرات أوسع أقرها إيفاب لتحسين تدفق اللعب وحماية اللاعبين قبل كأس العالم 2026.
The Egyptian Football Association settled today (Saturday) the controversy surrounding the friendly match of the national team against its Saudi counterpart, which took place last night (Friday) at the “Al-Inma” stadium in Jeddah, ending with a significant victory for Egypt by four goals to none.
The Egyptian Federation stated in an official statement that the match between Egypt and Saudi Arabia has been recognized as an “international match” by the International Football Association (FIFA), after all conditions were met, including the number of substitutions agreed upon during the technical meeting before the match.
The statement clarified that the Egyptian national team received an additional 3.8 points in the international ranking, moving up two places from 31st to 29th in the world.
The federation noted that the International Football Association Board (IFAB) approved new amendments to the laws of international friendly matches during its annual meeting in late February in Wales. Among the most notable of these amendments is allowing 11 substitutions in international friendly matches, provided there is prior agreement between the two teams.
The meeting was attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the President of the Egyptian Football Association Hani Abou Rida, as part of IFAB’s historical responsibility to review and update the laws of the game in line with global developments.
The match between the Saudi and Egyptian national teams was part of the preparations for both teams for the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The match had sparked controversy following statements by Egyptian Football Association board member Mustafa Abu Zahra, which indicated that the agreement on 11 substitutions could affect its classification as an official international match, thereby impacting ranking points.
It is worth noting that allowing an increase in the number of substitutions in friendly matches aims to provide opportunities for the largest number of players and reduce the risk of fatigue and injuries, especially during the preparation period for major tournaments. This amendment is part of a broader package of changes approved by IFAB to improve the flow of play and protect players ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
