أعلنت شركة التكرير الوحيدة في الفلبين، إتمام صفقة شراء شملت 2.5 مليون برميل من النفط الخام الروسي في شهر مارس الجاري، في إطار مساعيها لتأمين احتياجاتها من المواد الخام وسط تقلبات أسواق الطاقة العالمية.
ووفقاً للبيانات الصادرة عن الشركة، فإن هذه الكميات المتعاقد عليها ستكفي لدعم وتوسيع نطاق مخزون الشركة من النفط حتى شهر يونيو من عام 2026.
وأشارت إلى احتمالية زيادة مشترياتها من موسكو في حال استمرار أزمة الشرق الأوسط، وأوضحت أنها فقدت نحو 4 ملايين برميل من الخام القادم من المنطقة خلال ثمانية أيام فقط.
حالة طوارئ
وكان رئيس الفلبين فرديناند ماركوس جونيور، أعلن أخيراً، حالة طوارئ وطنية في قطاع الطاقة استجابة لتداعيات الصراع في الشرق الأوسط وما وصفه بأنه «خطر وشيك» يهدد إمدادات البلاد من الطاقة.
وأوضح ماركوس أنه جرى تشكيل لجنة لضمان التوفر السلس للوقود والغذاء والأدوية والمنتجات الزراعية والسلع الأساسية الأخرى وإمداداتها وتوزيعها وتوافرها بشكل منظم.
وبين أن إيقاف عمل الطائرات؛ بسبب نقص الوقود الناجم عن حرب إيران يُعدّ احتمالاً قائماً.
من جهتها، كشفت شركة طيران منخفض التكلفة بالفلبين، أنها تعتزم خفض عدد الرحلات بدءاً من الشهر القادم؛ بسبب ارتفاع أسعار الوقود الناجم عن أزمة الشرق الأوسط، وفقاً لبيان.
The only refining company in the Philippines announced the completion of a purchase deal that included 2.5 million barrels of Russian crude oil in March, as part of its efforts to secure its raw material needs amid fluctuations in global energy markets.
According to data released by the company, these contracted quantities will be sufficient to support and expand the company’s oil inventory until June 2026.
It indicated the possibility of increasing its purchases from Moscow if the Middle East crisis continues, noting that it lost about 4 million barrels of crude coming from the region in just eight days.
State of Emergency
Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. recently declared a national state of emergency in the energy sector in response to the repercussions of the conflict in the Middle East and what he described as an “imminent threat” to the country’s energy supplies.
Marcos explained that a committee has been formed to ensure the smooth availability of fuel, food, medicine, agricultural products, and other essential goods, as well as their supply, distribution, and organized availability.
He pointed out that the suspension of aircraft operations due to fuel shortages caused by the war in Iran is a real possibility.
For its part, a low-cost airline in the Philippines revealed that it intends to reduce the number of flights starting next month due to rising fuel prices resulting from the Middle East crisis, according to a statement.
