وبحسب مصادر مطلعة، لم تقتصر التغييرات على بوندي، إذ قام وزير الدفاع بيت هيعسيث بإقالة رئيس أركان الجيش الجنرال راندي جورج، فيما تجري مناقشات داخل البيت الأبيض حول احتمال مغادرة مسؤولين آخرين مناصبهم، من بينهم مدير مكتب التحقيقات الفيدرالي كاش باتيل، ووزير الجيش دانيال دريسكول، ووزيرة العمل لوري تشافيز-دي ريمير.
وأشارت المصادر إلى أن توقيت هذه التغييرات لا يزال غير محسوم، وأن الرئيس ترمب لم يتخذ قرارات نهائية بعد، إلا أن ما كان يُعرف داخل الإدارة بشعار عدم الإقالات أو«لا مقصلة» (no scalps)لم يعد قائمًا.
