قال رئيس مجلس السيادة الانتقالي في السودان عبدالفتاح البرهان، إن الشعب السوداني صاحب الحق الأصيل في تقرير مصيره واختيار من يحكمه، مشدداً على التزام القوات المسلحة بالوصول إلى التحول الديمقراطي المنشود.
وفي كلمة بمناسبة ذكرى انتفاضة الـ6 من أبريل لعامي 2019 و1985، التي توافق اليوم الإثنين، قال البرهان: إن قيادة القوات المسلحة «استجابت لمطالب الشعب في عام 1985، وتكرر ذلك في 6 أبريل 2019، مؤكداً استمرار مسيرة البناء التي بدأت في تلك المحطات.
وأضاف أن الشعب السوداني وقف بصلابة في 15 أبريل 2023 إلى جانب القوات المسلحة في معركة الكرامة ضد التمرد، لافتاً إلى أنه عندما يضيق الحال بالشعب يلجأ للقوات المسلحة، ولذلك تستجيب لمطالبهم فوراً، وهذه وقفات مضيئة في تاريخ القوات المسلحة ووقفات مشرفة في حق الشعب السوداني.
ووصف البرهان الشعب السوداني بأنه لا يقبل الذل أو الهوان، ولا يقف مكتوف الأيدي أمام أي تجبر.
ولفت إلى أن القوات المسلحة ماضية في استكمال مسيرة البناء، التي بدأت في 1985م و2019م، مؤكداً الالتزام بالوصول إلى التحول الديمقراطي المنشود، إذ يمتلك الشعب وحده الحق في تقرير مصيره واختيار من يحكمه عبر الوسائل التي يرتضيها.
وأصدر مجلس السيادة في السودان، الخميس الماضي، قراراً بتشكيل رئاسة هيئة أركان جديدة بقيادة الفريق أول ركن ياسر عبدالرحمن حسن العطا، على أن يسري بصورة فورية.
وأوضحت القوات المسلحة السودانية، في بيان، أن رئيس مجلس السيادة القائد العام للقوات المسلحة الفريق أول ركن عبدالفتاح البرهان أصدر قرارات، تم بموجبها تشكيل هيئة أركان جديدة برئاسة ياسر العطا.
وأضافت أن القرار يشمل تعيين الفريق الركن عبدالخير عبدالله ناصر درجام نائباً لرئيس هيئة الأركان للإدارة، والفريق الركن محمد علي أحمد صبير رئيساً لهيئة الاستخبارات العسكرية، والفريق الركن معتصم عباس التوم أحمد نائباً لرئيس هيئة الأركان للعمليات.
ويشمل القرار بحسب البيان تعيين الفريق الركن حيدر علي الطريفي نائباً لرئيس هيئة الأركان للتدريب، والفريق الركن خلف الله عبدالله إدريس عبدالرحمن نائباً لرئيس هيئة الأركان للإمداد.
The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, stated that the Sudanese people have the inherent right to determine their destiny and choose their rulers, emphasizing the commitment of the armed forces to achieve the desired democratic transition.
In a speech on the occasion of the anniversary of the April 6 uprising of 2019 and 1985, which coincides with today, Monday, al-Burhan said that the leadership of the armed forces “responded to the demands of the people in 1985, and this was repeated on April 6, 2019,” affirming the continuation of the building process that began at those milestones.
He added that the Sudanese people stood firmly on April 15, 2023, alongside the armed forces in the battle for dignity against rebellion, noting that when the situation becomes difficult for the people, they turn to the armed forces, which respond to their demands immediately. These are bright moments in the history of the armed forces and honorable stands for the Sudanese people.
Al-Burhan described the Sudanese people as those who do not accept humiliation or degradation and do not stand idly by in the face of any tyranny.
He pointed out that the armed forces are continuing to complete the building process that began in 1985 and 2019, affirming the commitment to reach the desired democratic transition, as the people alone have the right to determine their destiny and choose their rulers through the means they deem appropriate.
Last Thursday, the Sovereignty Council in Sudan issued a decision to form a new presidency for the Armed Forces General Staff, led by Lieutenant General Yasser Abdel Rahman Hassan Al-Atta, to take effect immediately.
The Sudanese Armed Forces clarified in a statement that the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, issued decisions that led to the formation of a new General Staff headed by Yasser Al-Atta.
It added that the decision includes the appointment of Lieutenant General Abdelkhair Abdullah Nasser Dergam as Deputy Chief of Staff for Administration, Lieutenant General Mohamed Ali Ahmed Sabir as Chief of Military Intelligence, and Lieutenant General Moatasem Abbas Al-Toum Ahmed as Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations.
According to the statement, the decision also includes the appointment of Lieutenant General Haidar Ali Al-Tarifi as Deputy Chief of Staff for Training, and Lieutenant General Khalaf Allah Abdullah Idris Abdel Rahman as Deputy Chief of Staff for Supply.
