أعلن نادي بازل تأجيل مباراته أمام فريق ثون، التي كان من المقرر إقامتها اليوم (السبت) ضمن منافسات الدوري السويسري، وذلك عقب اندلاع حريق داخل مرافق النادي.
وقال النادي في بيان إن المباراة تم تأجيلها، بسبب حريق اندلع في منطقة غرف ملابس الفريق الأول لنادي بازل في ملعب سانت جاكوب بارك مساء الجمعة، لأسباب لم تتضح بعد، ما تسبب في أضرار مادية جسيمة، دون وقوع أي إصابات بشرية.
أضرار جسيمة
وأضاف البيان أن الحريق، الذي نتج عنه دخان كثيف، ألحق أضراراً كبيرة بمنطقة غرف ملابس الفريق الأول بالكامل، كما امتدت الخسائر لتشمل مكاتب الجهاز الفني، ومكتب مدير الفريق، ومناطق العلاج الطبيعي، إضافة إلى دورات المياه.
وتابع البيان أن الأضرار الجسيمة شملت أيضاً أحذية اللاعبين الشخصية، وجميع معدات المباريات وملابس الاحتياط والتدريب، إلى جانب المعدات الطبية والتقنية اللازمة لإجراءات المباراة، التي لا يمكن استبدالها على المدى القريب.
قرار التأجيل وإغلاق المرافق
وأشار النادي إلى أنه نظراً لحجم الأضرار وإغلاق جميع مرافقه بشكل رسمي حتى إشعار آخر، وعدم توفر أي معدات طبية أو خاصة بالمباريات، فإنه غير قادر على خوض مباراته أمام ثون يوم السبت 11 أبريل 2026، وهو ما دفع الاتحاد السويسري لكرة القدم إلى الموافقة على طلب التأجيل.

وختم البيان بأن نادي بازل يتواصل بشكل مستمر مع السلطات المختصة والاتحاد السويسري لكرة القدم بشأن الإجراءات اللاحقة، على أن يتم إعلان أي مستجدات وموعد جديد للمباراة في الوقت المناسب.
Basel Club announced the postponement of its match against Thun, which was scheduled to take place today (Saturday) as part of the Swiss League, following a fire that broke out within the club’s facilities.
The club stated in a statement that the match was postponed due to a fire that erupted in the area of the first team’s changing rooms at St. Jakob Park on Friday evening, for reasons that are still unclear, causing significant material damage, with no human injuries reported.
Significant Damage
The statement added that the fire, which resulted in thick smoke, caused extensive damage to the entire area of the first team’s changing rooms, and the losses extended to include the coaching staff’s offices, the team manager’s office, physiotherapy areas, as well as restrooms.
The statement continued that the severe damage also included players’ personal shoes, all match equipment, and training and reserve clothing, in addition to the medical and technical equipment necessary for match procedures, which cannot be replaced in the near future.
Postponement Decision and Facility Closure
The club indicated that due to the extent of the damage and the official closure of all its facilities until further notice, and the unavailability of any medical or match-specific equipment, it is unable to play its match against Thun on Saturday, April 11, 2026, which prompted the Swiss Football Association to approve the postponement request.
Ongoing Coordination
The statement concluded that Basel Club is in continuous communication with the relevant authorities and the Swiss Football Association regarding subsequent procedures, and any updates and a new date for the match will be announced in due course.
